Hi there. In this food post, I share my thoughts on the restaurant WVRST (pronounced like werst). This is located in Toronto's Union Station where there are many regional train connections and a train line to Toronto's Pearson Airport.

The Food & Pictures
WVRST is a casual beer hall restaurant that serves burgers, beer and sausages. I usually pass by here when I visit Toronto at least once a month. I wanted to try it out for dinner.
The place was not busy as it was near closing.
Myself and one other person ordered the Bison Sausage and Pork Schnitzel sandwich. The sandwich came with fries.

My Bison Sausage was around the length of a 15 centimetre short ruler. I did not want to eat too much before a train ride. For the toppings, I chose to have Jalapeno peppers, onions and the other free toppings I don't remember. I thought it was okay. The price was around 15.50 CAD which kind of pricey.
The Pork Schnitzel Sandwich was 20.75 CAD. Fries were included. My brother did not like the schnitzel that much. I did not try the burger myself so I cannot comment.
The fries were good except for the excess salt.

Closing Notes
Service at this place was good. The food portion was okay. Our visit was 10 minutes before the final call for orders. It if it were busier, then the dining experience would not be as comfortable.
WVRST at Union Station is kind of a tourist trap. Prices are kind of high. Then again, the food places at Union Station in downtown Toronto are slightly higher compared to outside the downtown core in Toronto.
I don't think the German food here is the best in Toronto. There are probably better places out there. I would revisit just for the fries with less salt with a friend.
Rating: 7 out of 10.
There's nothing better than going out to explore new places and enjoying a good meal.
