Make a step forward and start blogging

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Is this another post on Steemit about Steemit itself, it's system and users?

Like we are not enough with that, Steemit seems to be a topic that cannot be drained. I am pleased to see that some people who started as simple bloggers actually started to earn some serious money here after a long struggle to get the attention of other more powerful users. I don't even need to mention the waves of new users coming every day, hoping for success and being optimists about the price of Steem and everything around Steemit.
But it seems that it is not easy to get more than 7-8 upvotes if you are new user and you can get stuck in 0.07$ for a very long time.

That can frustrate the user and, if the one is an idiot, he actually believes that Steemit can make him rich over night. Well, it happened to very few people and it is better not to think about it.

Lately, I noticed that the most of new users post only entries to different contests and challenges.

Well, it is great that they have the opportunity to compete, but you can't make it here only by making entries for contests because these posts are not real posts and can be categorized as the shitposts. Since many claim that any original content can't be shitposting only because it is someone's original work, I wouldn't make the judgement about what is considered as a shitpost and what isn't.
But the point is, no matter about your talents, nobody will notice you if you only post entries for photo contests, meme contests, etc. It' OK to have something to write about or when you can push your awesome photo as some entry for something, but it is much easier when you have good foundations as a Steemit blogger. So I think it's time for many of you to start write a blog.

It can be problem to find what to write about.

Many users have their niche, that's a little bit easier blogging, especially if your niche is wide and inexhaustible. There are complex niches, simple niches, but I think that everyone can find himself somewhere. Photography, nature, travel, cooking... these are all awesome topics for making your Steemit foundations.
If you think that you have an interesting life story or interesting way of thinking, you can make it here with no niche at all, just be honest and write from your heart.

Steemit is not just about the luck and the catching someone's attention. Much of it depends on your hard work. But much of it also doesn't.

So you moved from so called "shitposts" to real blogging and you gave so much efforts to do it, but it seems that it didn't get the results you hoped for. Do not get discouraged, that's how it goes around, but if you make proper blog posts, there are much bigger chances that you will be noticed than if you post only contest entries.

Be consistent and persistent in your hard work and when you succeed, when you get many many followers and ew strong supporters, you will be able to make as much shitposts as you want and, sadly, make money with them.

Thank you!!!

I wonder how many did actually Read!

Thank you, my friend, you too

That's very true, all steemians should produce original content by selecting a topic based on their hobbies , interest and continuously write on it, i am sure results would be far better.

Motivational and informative post, You are doing a great job. Thanks for sharing @dymar022

Thank you!

So true. Taking the step to blog is important. So is thick skin. A post may not make a penny at first, but the next day you make two cents, and for me, Im like WooHoo, I doubled my worth! No where to go but up! Congrats on your Steemit success. Blessings

Thank you

Yes i truly agree with you, alot of newbies here on this platform feel discouraged at their first few posts after getting stuck to their $0.07$ as you said. So it takes a hardworking, persistent, non relenting user to succeed on this platform with good posts and content too.

I think many get trapped into the challenges, not knowing the platform enough initially and loving bots to comment (as it's at least a comment). But it's always consistent hard work that does the trick.

Not sure myself on what to write about exactly though but this seems to be key "just be honest and write from your heart." So will work on that.

Nice, that is what I do! Glad if my words could help

Having a direction to follow or a niche to delve into, is a good reminder for all. Good material needs inspiration. You can get inspiration from other steenian's posts, as long as you keep it original. Cheers

Thank you

Super!
Ispisah eseje na chatu, kad budes stigao pogledaj :D

This post is the best post I read that address challenges faced by minnows trying to break forth and also get rewarded for their efforts. You are speaking the mind of many newcomers including me. Contest is a way of getting fast at least for your efforts when the blog's post won't blow. Not getting a dollar for your well written and researched can be frustrating. I guess it is about having a right balance, have an identity and keep on steeming.

Just keep steemin-only that

Great advice
And makes me realize I need to rethink about the content and frequency of my posts

Thanks

You have amazing photos and keep doing it

Thanks but sometimes I feel I need to write more with them

This reminds me on how I began my spying series:)

I love that series
It’s br

Awesome post @dumar022! I don't think I have a niche which may be my niche..lol! Slow and steady wins the race sometimes!

Seems to me that people put far to much emphasis on "the rewards" @dumar022.

This is a social content platform, so if you just go about the business of creating content and engaging, it strikes me you will eventually build an audience, just like on any other venue. We have 6500+ followers on twitter (for which we get paid nothing of course!), but that took five years to get to!

It's just perspective, really. Folks somehow get excited and convince themselves that because it's "for money" results should now suddenly be immediate.

I think people also should be themselves and write about what they know or what interests them. If they only write about things to try to make money, they will end up feeling like this is a job and not fun.

Pozdrav, odličan post. Drago mi je da nas ima ovdje. Jučer sam se registrirao pa još uvijek istražujem.

This is a very valuable article @dumar022, great work!

Thank you for this. It is so true and, the way you write it, it sounds like fatherly edvice. I truly believe that you are one of the most hard working ateemera out here and you have so much knowlige that you selflesly share with newbies. Thank you.

I'm not sure should I take this seriously. If not, there are other ways for you to express your hostility

You hit the nail on the head. Yeah I'm a little frustrated. Been at this for a month now and No I truly did not expect things to take off overnight. I knew this was going to be a process.

I see so many doing the conetests and such see them growing and getting reputation, but no posts whatsoever. I have a few that are following me they have over 300 followers seem to be making money but no blogs listed.

Then I see a post of a fish and it shows they've made 350.00 I don't get it. I thought I knew what my niche was but starting to doubt it already.

Thank you for a supportive post.
