I am a fan of K-drama and also K-film, a term for a film or drama from South Korea. The story line is interesting and also no less good cinematography with films made in Hollywood.
Hwayi, A Monster Boy released 7 years ago 9 October 2013, premiered in South Korea with an income of around 14.6 million USD and was watched by 2.3 million viewers. The film was directed by Jang Joon Hwan, a filmmaker who was involved in a number of other films, such as Save the Green Planet (2003), Camellia (2010), and 1987: When The Day Come (2017). Hwa Yi A Monster Boy tells the story of a child kidnapped by a gangster group of 5 people played by Seok Tae (Kim Yun Seok), Jin Seong (Jang Hyun Sung), Ki Tae (Choi Jin Woong), Dong Boom (Kim Sung Kyun), and Beom Soo (Park Hae Joon). and educate him to be a murderer. Hwa Yi, played by young actor Yeo Jin Go
Hwa Yi called 5 mans as his Father. Hwa Yi grew into a quiet teenager and didn't hang out with anyone. He doesn't go to school like other teenagers, but he always wears a school uniform when going out of the house. Hwa Yi is good at drawing, he also reads a lot of books in his house. One of his fathers argued and wanted Hwa Yi to be different from them having good education and jobs not in the black world, he even planned to enroll Hwa Yi at the best art school in America. But his other father, especially Seok Tai (the most outspoken in opposition) did not agree with this, he wanted Hwa Yi to grow to be like his other fathers becoming criminals and killers who were respected among gangsters and had no mercy to enemies.

When the age of Hwa Yi stepping 17 years old, Seok Tai gave him the first task for Hwa Yi to kill a man, who was Hwa Yi's parents who were his father, that's his first murder. This is where all the big secrets begin when Hwa Yi discovers a photo of a child who is none other than himself as a child. One by one the secret was revealed, who is Hwa Yi, his biological parents who turned out to be Seok Tai himself. Until finally creating Hwa Yi who is really a killer monster figure even turned around killing all his fathers except "Seok Tai" who was killed by his own wife whom Hwa Yi called Mother after he was kidnapped and lived with them.
Hwayi: A Monster Boy also aired in some of film festivals, such as Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival 2014, Fantasia Film Festival 2014, Sitges Film Festival 2014, to Korean Film Festival in Paris 2014. Distributed by Showbox and successfully aired on 817 cinema screens throughout the world. Yeo Jin Goo successfully won two trophies as Best Newcomer Actor in the 2013 Blue Dragon Film Awards and the 2013 Korean Association of Film Critics Awards.

Score 8 for this film, from the strength of the actor especially the figure of Yeo Jin Goo as Hwa Yi also narration of a story that is built, tense and there is no boredom until the end of the story in 2 Hours 5 Minutes. Hwa Yi A Monster Boy, can be a list of films worth watching to accompany your weekend.

Dia tidak pergi sekolah sebagaimana remaja lainnya, tapi dia selalu memakai seragam sekolah saat pergi keluar rumah. Hwa Yi pandai dalam hal seni menggambar, dia juga membaca banyak buku dirumahnya. Salah satu orang ayahnya berpendapat dan ingin Hwa Yi berbeda dari mereka mempunyai pendidikan dan pekerjaan yang bagus bukan di dunia hitam, Ia bahkan berencana mendaftarkan Hwa Yi ke sebuah sekolah seni terbaik di Amerika. Tapi ayahnya yang lain terutama Seok Tai (yang paling vokal menentang) tidak setuju dengan hal tersebut, dia ingin Hwa Yi tumbuh menjadi seperti ayah-ayahnya yang lain menjadi penjahat dan pembunuh yang disegani di kalangan gangster dan tak punya belas kasihan kepada musuh.
