Excited to share, new major updates into Ecency website. Read on to learn more and try it out.
What's new
- No beneficiaries, that's right, we are removing 1% beneficiary reward. We were the first one to adopt beneficiaries when it was introduced and rewards did help us over the years to at least cover some part of server costs. After re-evaluating recently we decided to drop it altogether.
- Drafts, now you can access your drafts which you saved from mobile app or save drafts, re-use old drafts, vice versa.
- Bookmarks and Favorites, also added Bookmarking post and Favoriting authors so you can quickly access your favorities. It is synced across the device of course, you can check your bookmarks from mobile app and vice versa.
- Gallery, all your uploaded images are available in your Gallery page, so you can re-use them quickly or download them when you need again.
- Recent posts, great way to read more from same author, now wether you are reading post or comment, you get chance to read more from same author and connect.
- Code improvements and optimization, we want to keep codebase clean and performance top notch possible, so regular optimization. Also after couple more updates, we will opensource website entirely so you can take a look and help if have development experience.
Mobile application will also get update in next 48 hours with improvements, bug fixes and of course, no beneficiary rewards or fees.

How cool is that! Now I have good old eSteem Surfer but in browsers of any of my machines including mobiles! I've checked and even see images and drafts uploaded 2 years back in my account - everything is on it's place! 😎

I saw it as a way to support the developmemt of the app :D
You can always support development by donating to @ecency directly or purchasing Points. We noticed many new users struggle with understanding beneficiary rewards and being free is always more appealing to masses.

I am an Ecency user in Indonesia. Ecency allows Hivers around the world to be online anywhere anytime with an easy way. Ecency keeps Hivers always Hive on!
But unlike the previous Esteem, I saw a problem when writing the title of a rather long post through Ecency. Only a few words are visible, so we can't correct every mistake in the title. I think Ecency can improve the appearance of the title so that it can be seen all of them, especially for a slightly long title.
well, I am with this addition. I am sure, in the future, more and more Hivers will use Ecency. Thanks so much.

My account shows the beneficiaries as tipu and hiveonboard. How to remove that?
You likely signup with hiveonboard, I think they have referral system, due to that perhaps? We also have referral system but you earn Ecency points/tokens with it, no beneficiaries. https://ecency.com/?referral=ecency
