Against the fiercest of winds
she stood tall
a delicate rose
radiant as can be
A lone figure
in the wilderness
thirsty for the tears
the heavens would bring
But when winter came
her tear fell in the seas
and crashed
with the waves
Then the dawn's rising
and the waking morning
found her solitary tear
sealed with the reflection
of many dew drops
with an upturned face
she cries to the winds
"yes my opponent you are,
even when I'm laid against a rock,
a beautiful rose I'll always be"
Then she will dance
in sunlight's grace again
her hair tousled
her tear in her eyes again
ever the conqueror,
the wind, ever her conquest
