In 2020, for the first time in his life, nobody was laughing at Ralph's doomsday prepping. While everyone else had fear in their eyes and no clue where their next roll of toilet paper would come from, he was in his element. He had a different, “I TOLD YOU SO!” T-shirt for every day of the week.
The weird part was how just a few years later, everyone seemed to have forgotten just how right he had been and they'd gone back to giggling about how crazy he was. As if they hadn't survived something major. As if they thought those things couldn't happen. As if they didn't know the Botpocalypse was coming.
But he was ready. He'd never bought an appliance smart enough to make plans with any other and he'd moved even further off the grid in advance.
