Once again I am convinced that this book should be read for the first time in childhood. Time after time, discover this wonderful world, believe in it. Live in it.
I still remember how I got hold of a book with a golden lion on the cover. I began to read from Prince Caspian, as the first book at that time someone already took to read. And only then did I learn about the story of the creation of Narnia and about the Witch ...
But now I remember the realization and the wonderful feeling of believing that Narnia is real. And an eerie sense of loss, when the heroes return to Narnia and find only ruins. At the age of 12 I believed that if you really want to call Aslan three times, you can open the door to Narnia.
I did not grow up on Harry Potter, even though I read it. I have not fully penetrated this world. The moment I read it, I already knew that there is no Muggle world and no magicians. Hogwarts, too, no. It was a beautiful fairy tale about magic and the fight against evil.
Narnia was alive. I remember how I made a collage in my favorite book on drawing "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" ...
And then I read over and over again that old book with amazing pictures.
I re-read it now.
And most importantly - I find reasonings and thoughts, which I have not seen and noticed before.
When adults read Narnia for the first time, they look for misunderstandings and comparisons.
When I read it, there was nothing to compare. Narnia was not like anything. And among all at that time popular Alice, it was something unimaginable.
That's why I'm happy to go to the movies. I do not compare them, I do not seek misconceptions, I'm not trying to say what is wrong there ... it's just the world I'd like to see alive. And let the movies are more teenage, even if the accents are completely different places, but thanks to them the children again start to want to read magical stories about the world with a lamp post and talking animals ...
