A Walk before the Rain Comes ...

in SublimeSunday11 months ago (edited)

This morning, light rain fell as forecast, but thankfully it didn’t last long. Soon after, the sun appeared as I entered the forest. It did feel as though I was walking into a big black hole.

At this point, the row of trees looked quite dark and foreboding. I decided to stand for a few minutes to wait for the sun to come back out.

Along the route, there was quite a bit of logging happening. The forest management team helps maintain and improve forest health.

Despite brief rain this morning (for the first time in weeks), the grass remains green and vibrant.

In the middle of the forest stands what I think are old farm buildings. It's unfortunate that they have been allowed to fall into disrepair.

I stopped to take a photo of the fungi growing on the bottom of the tree. They looked like small puff balls.

At least I managed to get another walk in the sunshine, as next week it's a bit hit and miss.

It looks like the ground is dry pretty fast after the rain and so it looks like a nice walk.

Yes, it was only a short shower. I'm sure we will pay for all this nice weather we are having. 😁
