Politicians on the run
Power is all that concerns them
Some don't care if we Burn
You claim to serve the people
Yet ignore their cries and pleas
Looking down on followers as feeble
Imposing your will
A girl looks on with silence
But she doesn't look away
Partly because she feels powerless
Does she have nothing to say
Shall we watch ourselves implode
from problems of our own doing?
Who says solutions are not so simple?
When the cause is well known
I'll keep looking on in silence
maybe do the little I can
The cost of caring is happiness
Robbing us of peace of mind
