here's yet another take on bicycle shadows that i took a while ago, but it's not the typical view of a bike from the side, with or without a rider. this shot is of the tail ends of the bike parked beside each other. the actual bikes are barely in the picture, giving little information as to what is causing all the detail in the shadows. i don't remember how it looked in reality but somehow the shadows don't look right. at first the handlebars seem to be almost perpendicular to the wheels. but when looking closer i realized there must be more than 3 bikes and that the handlebar shadows are from other bikes parked with their fronts between the rear ends of the 2 visible ones. once i realized that the shadows made much more sense. and the stone tiles with their little wedged shadows add a lot to the scene.
