once it gets over the neighbours trees the morning sun shines on the front of our house. there's a kadappa stone table with 4 matching stools just to the right of the entrance. it's nice to sit there in the afternoon once the sun has passed behind the house enough to cast the shadow of the house on the table. usually we don't sit here in the morning because there are more birds active in the garden behind the house so we sit on the back steps with our morning chai and camera at hand. but some mornings most of the activity is in the front where there are a few cashew and other trees and more flowers than we have in the back.

so one morning as we were following the birds around garden taking some nice photos i noticed the unique shadow on the wall of our house- of our empty cups on the table mysteriously extending beyond the shade of one of the trees. almost like the stone slab was floating in the air.
in this view the gray bottom is the kadappa slab tabletop. the brown is our plinth which extends slightly out from the green wall. when the closest tree was young the table was more exposed to the sun and would get very hot so we never much got the habit of sitting there until well into the afternoon
