Are wars fought to save humanity?

We humans are basically a very aggressive, quarrelsome and war loving animal species. We fought with other animals and conquered them. We even fight with each-other to establish our hegemony over others.
Do you still think that wars are fought to save humanity?
- Most of the time wars are fought for saving humanity.
- In some occasion it may be true.
- Wars are fought to increase the profits of politicians, rulers, corporate and people getting benefit from it.
- War is a necessary vice that has helped us to develop many technologies.
- Wars are meant to subdue other human beings and should be stopped.
- We want a society free of evils of wars and crimes.
- Wars are the most inhuman thing.

Yes. No. Depends. War can be good. As we study history, we can see a variety of things happening. Wars and battles are good.
America
The United States had to fight in the Revolutionary War in order to create the USA, that is a new country in the 1700's. After that, they fought in other wars as they fought against central bankers, Islam, globalism, etc.
Infiltration
But at the same time, globalists have been infiltrating America and other countries. They divide and they conquer. They get people to fight against each other. They make money regardless of who wins as they invest in and invest on different sides, parties, countries. Some of us are trying to fight the globalists and some of the real enemies. They trick us into fighting each other and we should not be doing that for so many reasons. I don't like war. I like more freedoms and less government, etc.

Save? From what? Humanity should be saved from themselves.
Wars are fought in many cases to increase the profits of politicians, rulers, corporate, but people don't get benefit from it.
War is a very bad (one of the worst) things, but not the most inhuman thing.
There are much worse things. For example torturing other people and animals.
Some people are even enjoying that, which is terrible.
Wars are mostly fought by commands. To protect or to conquer/take something.
Like an area or a building. Or resources.
Most of the soldiers don't have any choice, but to fight, and probably only a few people are enjoying it, if any.
