To cool off a bit I picked some lichen shots. It was a hot day... and it is just a start. The lichens here look so nice and fresh with all the water drops on. Not a chance I will find something like that now. All dry. Those were shot during the winter.
First what I would call a coral lichen. In the cold months when it grows it is more green and acts almost like a sponge. Soft and pleasant to the touch, even though it may look like a pile of little sticks.
And one of my most favourite - the little licgen cups that I find growing on old tree stunps, branges, bark, stones, pine cones... And just like little cups it cold drops of water inside. Lovely, super soft thing when wet. In summer it will all dry up, shrink and will crumbl like cookies when touched.

when the summer comes, in the cities where I live everything looks red, damn sun burns horrible and the only thing left is to go to the beach, to see greener landscapes I need to go to the forest, but it is far away, and I keep on loving your pictures 😍
