Hello friends of hive, in my last job I decided to pay tribute to one of the best players in the history of the NBA: Kobe Bryant. His way of playing and his winning mentality have gone down in history and have a deserved place in the sport. This year we began with the sad news of his death and that of his daughter and other people who accompanied him on the helicopter ride. A great loss for the world of sports, however we still have the memory and his great legacy. I hope you like my drawing.
Hola amigos de hive, en mi ultimo trabajo he decidio hacer un homenaje a uno de los mejores jugadores de la historia de la NBA: Kobe Bryant. Su forma de jugar y su mentalidad ganadora han pasado a la historia y tienen un lugar merecido en el deporte. Este año lo comenzamos con la triste noticia de su fallecimiento y el de su hija y de otras personas que lo acompañaban en el paseo en helicoptero. Una gran perdida para el mundo del deporte, sin embargo nos queda el recuerdo y su gran legado. Espero les guste mi dibujo.
First we start by making a sketch with a white pencil taking advantage of the color of our cardboard which is dark gray and it will help us to give it great realism by playing with colors.
Primero comenzamos haciendo un boceto con lapiz blanco aprovechando el color de nuestra cartulina que es de un gris oscuro y nos ayudará a darle un gran realismo jugando con los colores.
We paint the first arm what will be the base color for all the skin, using the light brown color as a pass and from there begin to darken using darker tones and reinforcing the lights with white pencil.
Pintamos el primero brazo lo que sera el color base para toda la piel, usando el color cafe claro como pase y a partir de ahi comenzar a oscurecer usando tonos mas oscuros y reforzando las luces con lapiz blanco.
Once we have detailed the arm well, we go to the flannel where we use the brightest yellow and then the shadows with dark yellow and a little orange we review several times. Let's not forget to paint the stripes on the sides in blue as well as the letters with the team's name.
Una vez que hemos detallado bien el brazo pasamos a la franela donde usamos el amarillo mas luminoso y luego las sombras con amarillo oscuro y un poco de naranja repasamos varias veces. No olvidemos pintar las rayas de los costados de color azul al igual que las letras con el nombre del equipo.
The next arm we repeat the previous process starting with a light face, then darkening in the divisions of the muscles and reinforcing the lights with white. We do this about two times so that we can balance the tones well.
El brazo siguiente repetimos el proceso anterior comenzando con face claro, luego oscureciendo en las divisiones de los musculos y reforzando las luces con color blanco. Hacemos esto unas dos veces para que podamos equilibrar bien los tonos.
We paint the shorts with the previous yellow colors and detailing the wrinkles well, let's not forget that it is doing a dunk so the clothes are affected by the inertia of the movement. To make these wrinkles we put orange and a little light face without falling to use the color black.
El short lo pintamos con los colores amarillos anteriores y detallando bien las arrugas no olvidemos que esta haciendo una clavada por lo que la ropa esta afectada por la inercia del movimiento. Para hacer estas arrugas ponermos naranja y un poco de face claro sin caer a usar el color negro.
We paint the extremities using the same color palettes but darkening a little more, since being in the lower position the effect of the light is not the same and the shadows in general are stronger. Here if we can use a little black pencil. For the shoes we use a light turquoise blue and make the light reflections with white. We cover one layer over the other, passing the pencil always smooth, we must never press it too much because the paper will not let us mix.
Las extremidades las pintamos usando la misma paletas de colores pero oscureciendo un poco mas, ya que al encontrarse en la posición inferior el efecto de la luz no es igual y las sombras en general son mas fuertes. Aqui si podemos usar un poco el lapiz negro. Para los zapatos usamos un azul turquesa claro y hacemos las reflexiones de luz con blanco. Cubrimos una capa sobre la otra pasando el lapiz siempre suave, nunca debemos presionarlo demasiado porque el papel luego no nos dejara mezclar.
For the face we use the same color combination, the only detail to highlight is to reflect the sweat on Kobe Bryant's face. The white color will help us achieve that effect when we press it a little hard above the base colors of the face.
Para el rostro usamos la misma combinacion de colores el unico detalle a resaltar es reflejar el sudor en el rostro de Kobe Bryant. El color blanco nos ayudará a conseguir ese efecto cuando lo presionamos un poco fuerte por encima de los colores bases del rostro.
Last but not least is to paint the ball, for this we use all orange colors and also light yellow for the brightest part. This would be the last detail of all.
De ultimo y no menos importante es pintar el balon, para ello usamos todos los colores naranja y tambien amarillo claro para la parte mas luminosa. Este seria el ultimo detalle de todos.
This has been my work and the explanation of how I did it. Many think that painting with colors is difficult when you want to achieve realistic skin tones. It is not difficult at all, we just have to concentrate and observe well the proportions and the effect of light and shadows. Always paint gently, never press hard on the pencil and take our time, never rush. I hope you liked my drawing and tribute to Kobe Bryant and you are interested in learning to draw, the best way to advance and be better is to always practice every day when we have free time. Este ha sido mi trabajo y la explicacion de como lo hice. Muchos piensan que pintar con colores es dificil cuando se quiere lograr tonos realistas como la piel. No es nada dificil, solo debemos concentrarnos y oservar bien las proporciones y el efecto de la luz y las sombras. Pintar siempre suavemente, nunca presionar fuerte el lapiz y tomarnos nuestro tiempo, nunca apresurarnos. Espero les haya gustado mi dibujo y homenaje para Kobe Bryant y les interese aprender dibujar, la mejor forma para avanzar y ser mejores es practicar siempre todos los dias cuando tengamos tiempo libre.
