On this holiday, on Hallelujah Saturday, as mysays here, I took advantage of the late afternoon to see the flowers and contemplate a little of the nature that I have close by.

Yesterday, Good Friday, I heard about many things we couldn't do because it was a Catholic holiday. The older aunts, who are my grandmother's sisters, were complaining that no one celebrates this day like they used to. People don't care about Jesus' death and even businesses don't close anymore. Despite being a rural town, everything was working. In fact, many people (not just young people) took advantage of the holiday to go out and drink alcohol. Something that, as my grandmother said, they didn't do in the past.
We did traditional things like not eating meat on Good Friday, not cleaning the house because we couldn't sweep it. They say it keeps luck away. But my grandmother said that in the past she couldn't use a knife or comb her hair.

Despite so much complaining about current attitudes, we didn't do one thing this year that was normally important to my grandmother: we didn't go to any church services. My grandmother said that now she thinks that we have to take care of the things that come out of our mouth and not what goes in. Ah, according to her, it was a priest who said that! In other words, people observe the days considered holy by the Catholic Church, doing things described as essential by the Church, and throughout the year they speak badly of others, forget the people they really like and especially their family members, complain about the things that has and is too lazy to go after new achievements, among so many other evils that can be thought of as existing in the world.
I realized that we are living so fast that stopping and observing nature or the things around us is rare. And there is still so much to live for that every corner has a gift for us. I found beautiful flowers in my day, in addition to the lives of my grandparents and my entire family who still come together to see them. As I thought they were beautiful, I'll show them all to you,
Nesse feriado, no sábado de aleluia, como dizem por aqui na minha avó, aproveitei o fim da tarde para ver as flores e contemplar um pouco da natureza que tenho por perto.

Ontem, sexta-feira santa, ouvi sobre muitas coisas que não podíamos fazer por se tratar de um feriado católico. As tias mais velhas, que são irmãs da minha avó, estavam reclamando que ninguém guarda esse dia como antes. As pessoas não se importam com a morte de Jesus e nem o comércio fecha mais. Apesar de ser uma cidade de interior, estava tudo funcionando. Inclusive, muitas pessoas (não só jovens) aproveitaram o feriado para passeios e consumo de bebidas alcoólicas. Coisa que, como disse a minha avó, antigamente não faziam.
Fizemos coisas tradicionais como não comer carne na sexta-feira da paixão, não arrumar a casa porque não pode varrer. Dizem que afasta a sorte. Mas a minha avó disse que antigamente não podia usar faca e nem pentear os cabelos.

Apesar de tanta reclamação sobre as atitudes atuais, não fizemos uma coisa esse ano que normalmente era importante para minha avó: não fomos a nenhuma missa da igreja. Minha avó disse que agora pensa que a gente tem que cuidar das coisas que saem da nossa boca e não do que entra. Ah, segundo ela, foi um padre que disse isso! Ou seja, as pessoas guardam os dias considerados santos pela igreja católica, fazendo as coisas descritas como essenciais pela igreja, e no decorrer do ano falam mal dos outros, esquecem as pessoas que gostam de verdade e principalmente dos familiares, se queixam das coisas que tem e tem preguiça de ir atrás de novas conquistas, entre tantas outras maldades que se pode pensar existentes no mundo.
Percebi que estamos vivendo tão acelerados que parar e observar a natureza ou as coisas ao redor é raridade. E ainda tem tanto a se viver que a cada cantinho tem um presente para nós. Encontrei flores lindas no meu dia, além da vida dos meus avós e de toda a minha família que ainda se une para vê-los. Como achei lindas, vou mostrar todas para vocês,
