Good to see you're enjoying your new bicycle that much. And being able to go to the beach by bike is a privilege... and I know that because I live 20 minutes from the sea too.
Do be careful with those 'sandy' conditions. Sand and grease are a bad combination for chains and gears. They can wear out quickly. And the salty from the ocean can cause corrosion.
I don't want to scare you, but check up and rinse your chain every now and then to make it last a bit longer.
Or else you might spend the money you save from not having to fill up the car on bicycle maintenance 😉
Ha I'm married to a bike obsessive. We have a compressor and he blows off the sand and gets his little thing of oil out and oils the chain. Mind you I don't take it right on the beach. Here it's parked on the concrete boat ramp at the motor yacht club X
You don't have to ride it on the sand to have sand all over it. A bit of wind and you have a sandy Sandy 😂
You're lucky with a bicycle obsessive husband 😉
Yes it's my personal bike mechanic! But I'll make sure she's looked after don't worry.
