Weekend-engagement topic week 47: Favourite transport [answer and win hive]

in Weekend Experiences3 years ago (edited)

Most of us have owned or used some form of transport and have had good and bad experiences; Be it a car, bike, motorbike, horse, truck, scooter, roller skates, surf board...Whatever. Getting from one place to another always requires a way to get there...Even if it's just our legs doing the work.

I thought it would be interesting to find out about your favourite mode of transport so here's a chance for you to show off your vehicle, or any form of transport, past or present, or to tell us about one you would love to own, or even just your most loved mode of transportation in general.

If you're not familiar with the #weekend-engagement concept you have to respond to the topic below in the comments of this post. It'll be cool if you stay around and engage with some of the others too - It's all about engagement so get involved and engaged!

On Monday I have some hive to transfer to a few of you who engage below, just for your commenting and engagement. It's pretty easy - Just get engaged. It's not a competition, simply a chance to interact with a few other hivers and have some fun.

Weekend-engagement topic week 47

dazz (1).png

Tell us about your favourite mode of transport 👇

In the comments below simply tell us about your favourite mode of transport and explain your answer. It could be your pushbike, car, truck, moped, motorbike, horse, yak, jet-ski, helicopter, elephant, X-wing fighter, angel wings...It doesn't matter. It can be one you own, want to own or even just a mode of transport you love like train travel. Post a picture also if you like! There is no wrong answer, just make sure you explain your choice.

Read this bit so you know what to do. ☝️

That's the topic for this week folks. You have until very late Sunday night your time to get your response into the comments below and I hope you'll engage this week as it'll be good to see you around over the weekend. Have a great weekend if you engage or not.

I've always been attracted to cars, and driving is a completely measurable experience; If you qualify last on the grid, you're the slowest, and if you qualify first on the grid, you're the fastest. So no one can say you're slow if you're fast and no one can say you're fast if you're slow. - Eric Bana

The Electric Mini Cabs service was introduced in Malta and Gozo in 2011. Electric Mini Cabs work similar to cabs a nice experience for me at that time. A Trip with this Electric Mini Cabs cannot cost more than 5.00 Euro per trip, respective of the number of passengers.

I think I want one of these to go to work in...I'd be able to squeeze between the other cars and get the faster meaning I could leave later, meaning I could sleep in longer, meaning I'd be leas grumpy in the morning. Lol

I'd have to pimp it out a little though, a flame paint job or maybe paint it up like a striking cobra!

Lol, A cobra spraying under arm deodorant on the front of the car? Who wouldn't want one of those!

Good idea, many thanks!

That is seriously an epic ride! Love it. That would be awesome for weekend trips along the beach. Just errr no privacy in the back seat.....

Nice, look old school and futuristic at the same time 😁 Like an electric rikshaw. The closest thing we have in Bulgaria are small elecromobiles that you can take from a parking spot and leave on another somewhere in the city.

Oooo.. they have recently started one of these in our city.. Yet to get a ride on it though.. hopefully soon..

We have something similar here in Nigeria. We call it keke napep not as fancy as this though. it is possibly the most affordable mode of transportation too.

Me encantan.

I want one of these. Lol

That thing looks awesome lol. I love the tiny cars that are all over Europe! The tiny trucks in Italy were my favorite lol

That sounds awesome. for 5 euro's around the island 😋
What it the range of it?

That's a cool one. The smaller versions are used here for deliveries. Sometimes they fall over though and you see the guys enlisting help to get them back on all threes

How much does it cost to drive one? I've been passenger in plenty of things, I'm much better behind the wheel.

I love those electric cars. The 1st time I have seen one was in Paris in 2009 and I was so amazed. They had them on the street and you could insert some coin and rent them for a specific time.

A perfect grocery getter! 😀

Hello Galenkp. Happy Friday to you and everyone ❤️. I must say that since I moved to my current home 11 years ago my favorite transport has become the train. Basically because we live very close to the train station and it is our main transport par excellence. I love its comfort and how it allows you to get everywhere quickly. We do a trip to the city center in one hour, while if we had to go by bus it would take more than twice as long and since I don't have a car, paying for a taxi would be very expensive 😂.

During these years, the trains have changed. When we first came to live here, there were these trains that were already quite old. It was noticeable its deterioration, the windows and doors did not close completely well. In winter it was very cold.

Source

But in the year 2015 there was a renewal of trains and these are the ones we currently have. Electric, with air conditioning and much more illuminated.

Without a doubt this is my preferred transport, if I can go by train anywhere, I will! I haven't traveled on a long-distance train yet, but I hope I can do it soon ❤️.

It's been a while since I caught public transport in my own city but I've done it quite a lot when overseas and always fond it to be pretty good...Sure, some dodgy ones, but in the main no too bad. I prefer trains over buses too, I'm with you there.

I wish I had public transportation available to me, but it is not available when you live in a rural area. I love riding trains when I travel.

That's Argentina I'm guessing?

I had never ridden a train until we got to England a couple years ago. Then we rode one up and down the UK for a few months.

Very exciting way to travel.

Ah, jeeze. What a topic. I've had a couple of barns full of vehicles that are special and memorable. And not a museum piece in the bunch. I used every one hard. There's a 1964 Barracuda, and a '39 Ford Coupe. A '55 Pontiac and a '64 Thunderbird. There's a 1951 Chev Pickup, a '53 and '78 Ford pickups. All of those take my breath away yet today. But

image.png

1964 Yamaha YG1 KT 80cc of 2 stroke fury that would do 60 miles per hour if the wind was right. I got it in April of '65. That's 56 years ago for those keeping score. I was 13 years old and it absolutely changed my life.

For the first time I saw the possibilities of a much larger and more complex world than I had considered. Now I could go see. And I have. It's said you never forget your first, and that is certainly true of that old Yamaha.

The music is a motorcycle song through and through.

When I saw your comment I knew I was going to love it 😁.

Wow, you actually rode it at 13. At 13 I was inward getting at bicycles trying to learn.

Looks beautiful and light too.

I used it to go back and forth to my first job at a neighbor's place (10 miles round trip per day). The 100 miles per gallon is how I convinced my Dad to loan me the $200 I was short to buy it. I was absolutely in heaven.

Ah brilliant. This is a worthy gift.

That's awesome man, lots of great vehicles for you but nothing beats an old bike like that! My friend and I got our hands on an old moped when we were 14 or 15 I forget but we did some work to try and fix it up and got it running one summer. Man was that a lot of fun, the first experience of a motor was life changing!

Oh, man. There were maybe half dozen of us that lived out in the country and had single cylinder MCs after a year or two, and we rode A LOT. In order to ride a lot we learned to mechanic-at least some. It was a great trade.

Nothing beats the sound of a running motor that you have been sweating over. Nothing.

51 Chevy and 53 and 78 Ford pickups? I'm with you there...Legit!

1964 Yamaha YG1 KT 80cc

Great choice here, not just for the bike but all the rest that came with it for you.

!ENGAGE 20

Each of those should have their own article. I may try to get that done this weekend.

I learned to be a mechanic on all of these. The '51 Chevy had a babbited motor that we rebuilt at least twice before we put a full bearing motor in it. I've actually poured babbit material in my career. (I was probably 12). My Dad gave me the pickup in self defense after I wrecked his newest Chev (a 62).

I overhauled the motor on that Yammie the first winter I had it. I took 8th grade shop class specifically because Mr. Iksic (the teacher) told me I could. I missed the leather craft part of the class. It was worth it. I got over 30,000 miles out of that little 2 stroke and when I finally considered it deceased I used the wheels to build a welder cart. Somewhere I'm guessing that the yammie lives on in somebody's shop.

Did well with the Yamaha! That's a lot of miles. I agree, you should do a post or two Tom.

I just commented Sir Tom, then scrolled down and found this beauty accompanied by a great song. So, if fate should break my stride, I will give you a memory of my sweet Bonny.

If fate should break my stride...

Next for me was a TR-6 The single carb bonny. Damn, that was a real motorcycle and I loved it. I learned a lot of mechanical things with that baby, too!

Oh yeah, you told me about that bonny and that's why I tagged you Sir Tom.
They had a way of creeping into one's heart.

Tom, you're gonna love this one. My buddy's neighbor, this is about five years ago, he's leaving town... divorce.... Looooonng story. He gave my buddy two bikes, the 85 moped just needed rings, no pedals, they were already full throttle. It runs like a champ now, does about 35mph BUT.

Free - 1970 SL350 in excellent condition Dude. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

Oh, man. Everybody knew that you couldn't possibly make a servicable parallel twin dirt bike. Silly people. Honda just kicked everybody's ass. The run up to the Africa Twin...

What a feeling to ride a bike!
I had done this several times, but the last time I had to quit since I had been having some wine and I was dizzy. Nevertheless, I do remember my high-school bf coming to pick me up after classes with one of those Russian ones.

Great choice!

I've never ridden a Ural, but they've always intrigued me. A stone cold copy of a pre WWII BMW. And they get you home every time. The McGyver of motorcycles.

@bigtom13....here is a little secret ---> I have a crush on BMW vintage one that a guy owns. I see it each summer at the seaside, where I go and sleep in the tent. The guy comes there for 2-3 weeks each year.

Here is the model

https://www.pinterest.es/pin/522276888027561572/

That bike looks a lot like the 1967 Honda CL-90 that I had when I was a senior in highschool back in 1972-73. The frame is the same style. I rode the crap out of that thing back then! 😀

They were special, weren't they? My BFF rode a S-90 (a '65) that HE STILL HAS!

Goofy bugger also still owns the Chevelle SS that he took on his honeymoon.

I've never had a vehicle of my own before. Now that you've mentioned it, I should start saving up to get a bicycle.

The answer to this promises to be long, I mean there are a lot of transportation means, 😅.

  • I've never traveled with air, i'd like to try that.
  • I have mostly being on the road with cars. Its always enjoyable staring out at the cars running past us and seeing people and places.
  • I haven't being on a large water before, boat or something, but i've being in and also paddle a canoe once, sadly, I turned people I was carrying into the water 😂, bad day.

I want to get a scooter too. Its simple, I'm a simple guy.
But of my long list of transportation, I always fancy my "LEGedesbenz" 😂.

I'd take the walk instead, because I can listen to different audio books, and catch up on my favorite podcast. Always a lovely experience

One of the coolest responses I've seen on an engagement topic. You've been in Nigeria your whole life? How old are you dude and why haven't you at least been to Gulf Of Guinea?

That has got to be the best thing I've read all day. 😊
Thank you @dandays.

You know, right from when I was a little kid, I loved traveling. All I ever thought of was traveling places, meeting new and different people, talking with them and all. I only just started traveling across states in my country. My country has 36 states and I have only being to 3. First when my father took me along for one of the chieftaincy title coronation long time ago, it was beautiful. Second for my grand mother's burial also long time ago. Third because I went to university in another state.

When I eventually fell in love with photography, I knew I had to travel, I mean, whats a photographer who doesn't travel round the world and tell stories with his pictures.

Your comment is a big motivation for me. I'm definitely working towards it. 😁

I've not had the most interesting of life's. :).

I'm going to be 24 come December, but I do have plans of traveling myself, I just have to get my act together both financially and otherwise.

Nah dude, your life is actually quite fascinating. But if you've been in Nigeria your whole life, why haven't you been to Gulf Of Guinea?

I read my wife your comment last night, I don't think I've ever read her someone's comment from the weekend engagement. That was a first.

LEGedesbenz Lol...

I actually just posted my own favourite in answer tot he #weekend-angagement topic and legs were my choice also!

!ENGAGE 20

Gotta go looky.

I'm Sure you've walked across cities 🤣

Cities, deserts, rain forests, mountains, open plains, deep jungles and just about every sort of terrain you could imagine. My legs have been with me all the way. :)

Lucky legs, they would have being in the best of places. :)

Uuhm, I just searched now and I didn't seem to see your comment.🤔

I hope the money you can pull out of Hive someday will help you get a scooter....and a car...and your own plane...and a teleportation machine!

Hugs, @stevenson7
I'm so happy to have found you again and this time in the weekly engagement that @galenkp is launching for us!

Thank you so much.

You are always kind with your words.😊

I do hope hive helps me too 😅.
So at least I can travel to Guinea and some other places.

Let me know when you become a millionaire so I can Congratulate you!

Will do that soon 😅

It's Car all the way for me.
The last time I tried sitting at the back of a bicycle, My butt suffered a great deal :)
So I will do anything for car transport and then again, that's what I will have when the time is ripe.

Lol...Yeah cars are a little less stressful on asses that's for sure!

What sort of car would you choose?

!ENGAGE 20

The type of car I dream of having, I don't know what its called as it not even available yet :)

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Bahahaha I am getting old and this does hurt, I have a padded seat now lol. But you tend to adjust pretty quickly.

When I take out the bicycle in the spring it always hurts the first 50-100 km, then Body get used.

Oh, I thought I was just overreacting. Glad to know that someone else feels my pain 😹

Did you consider riding it instead? 😁

I think that would have been much better, don't you think?😏🤔

Of course😂. I guess in this part of the world its more difficult, but consider being in the driving sit and you'd love every minute of it.

I bet I will enjoy that position lol

Go do it. 😁

Cars for me too.

Hahahahaha what a difficult situation with bicycles when it comes to using them. I prefer other means than bicycles for the same reasons. I hope soon you get that car according to you.

Lol, yeah. You know how it feels 😢
Yes, I pray to do that. Thanks.

Maybe you just need a smooth pedaler behind the handlebars. Or a springy seat. Or a banana seat with pink fuzzy dice on it or wait!! Lazyboy bicycle.

I'm such a problem solver

I just found out this was the post and I already commented in your personal post. That's laughable, but it happens. My idea of favorite transportation are my legs as well. Also because I don't own any other, but even if I do, I would still walk to places as this is nice to think, keep yourself healthy and keep legs legit

Legs are one of those things that tend to stick around and support us.

(See what I did there?)

!ENGAGE 20

Ha, ha, ha. I love those sure-footed puns.

(I did it too)

Thanks a lot for your support!

For me it is a combination of walking and using different types of public transport. If I travel in Sofia and I have to go from A to B, some of the most enjoyable things for me is finding the fastest route. Most of the times taking a single bus or train will be slower from taking bus for some stops, having a short walk/run to another bus. Or in the country traveling with just a backpack, taking buses, trains, walking or taking a car ride with a random driver, stopping for a rest wherever I want... That is what I really like and now when I am a parent I can't do.

If anyway I have to chose only one, that would be walking. From a kid I am raised to spend a lot of time walking in the mountains and also I am born in a town where I can reach everywhere by walk in a short time. That is now part of me and will always be my favourite.

Hmm yes, the combination walk-public-transport method of transportation. I like walking also to be honest, and I do a lot of hiking. Of course we often have the need to find alternative methods of transport. Public transport works well for that purpose.

!ENGAGE 20

I guess I just met another Walker 🙂
I have not gone to the mountain before but some hilly places we have here in my state and it's always very tiring git me walking up the hills, I just imagine how climbing the mountain would feel like. @brutalisti

Yea, I can't really imagine, how it feels to live without the deep and rocky mountains I have grown up with...

I understand that feeling though

Hmm..this is more safe, a safe walk. Nice

I guess you prefer land transportation 😉

Hmm, never thought it as a more safe way to travel. Some of the mountains I have explored by walk are actually far from safe 😁 I have heard that as of percentage of incidents modern aviation is one of the safest transportation.

Haha walking! It is good but distences are so far in Australia. I do like walking around its great exercise and good views.

Hah, yes maybe the way we see this is not only preference, but also controlled by the place we live in.

Oh no no. Never walking for me. It's always Car or Bike. It's on very rare, and I mean absolute rare occasions that I would prefer walking.

I think yours is the best mode of transportation. :)

I do a lot of walking, too. Like you I have loved it all my life. A very legitimate choice...

I'm a bicycle guy myself but I can probably get most places you can get on your feet. When I can't I'll just hang out and wait for you to get back.

321 comments here means that I am a bit early with my comment, which is always a good thing.
I loved a bitch.
Now don't panic as the bitch was my Triumph Bonneville. A motor bike that I dearly loved. Ape hanger handles and extension front forks, with a Peanut shaped gas tank, it was a beauty and a pleasure to cruise on.
Sir @bigtom13 will know what I am talking about.

But she had one problem. She slept inside the house, in the lounge of all places because we had many thieves around and every morning I had to clean up the oil leaks on our wooden floor.
A choice I was forced to make was that it was the bitch or my wife.
So yeah, I should have kept the bitch hahaha.

Cleaning up after that bitch huh? Well, a Bonneville would be worth it I'd say!

I have visions of rebel without a cause here...Zac going Brando-style.

Nice work.

Lol @ early with your comment.

!ENGAGE 20

Next Friday I will make a point of it to engage much quicker :)

We were renting that house and I think that black oil stain is still on that wooden floor to this day.
All that I can say is that I have always had my own style mate, I think very similar to you, as we are not ones to be influenced by others.

I've never parked one inside but I have taken huge parts (think motor and or transmission) inside to work on when it's cold. The kitchen sink is the absolute best place ever to overhaul a carburetor.

Oh! Sure death for me to go anywhere near the kitchen, but yes, I agree as the sink will make an excellent drain for solvents and old oil 🤣

I had a tiny workshop shed outside that was so small that I had to go outside every time I farted in it 🤣
So rain or snow, I worked outside.

Ahahahahaha. I sold my TR6 when I got married. The ad said "One must go. 1973 model wife or 1960 model TR6 Triumph. " I got half a dozen calls on the bike and only one inquiry about the wife...

Hahaha, now here is the living proof of what I said and I am amzed that you got one call for the missus.
Now I won't go into what kind of a guy would make a call for a wife and let me just say that I hope your wife appreciated the fact that she had you :)

For me it’s a toss up. My dream car has been to get a turbocharged Subaru STi because they are pretty awesome cars. I know people have had issues with them but I love the car but I also importantly love the sound of the style engine. Boxer engines have such a different sound to them than others do! I love it. Deep rumble to them which I love.

4DE5305B-BABE-4D3C-9E16-A94E3E8304C2.jpeg

At the same time though I want a classic like this bad Larry! I love the 70’s trucks, the broncos, Chevy pickups, dodges. They are all really awesome trucks and one I want to own and restore someday with the little man. As things get more dependent on computer chips and stuff, I want something that has zero of that in it unless I want to put some in but that’s doubtful. I want just carburetor and motor, that’s it! I’m going to get my hands on one someday and probably before I can afford one of those STi’s, or even convince Siena to let me buy an STi hahaha.

8232FB7F-81D6-4D34-A8D0-85A82BAD66F7.jpeg

Ah ok...So you need the 1975 Fordbarurolet STI pickup with the twin turbos.

I would like to fly in a balloon that takes me from place to place hahaha
I have never done this and it's more like a dream of mine. Otherwise, I will like to be teleported. So, someone please find that technology 😄
I would also like to travel in an old-looking train, something like this:
old_train.jpg

But safer and with interesting nice people if possible :D

I prefer taking a plane when traveling abroad. I once traveled by coach with some friends that no longer had the money for plane tickets and it took us 2 days or something to arrive at the destination. I said that it would be the last time in my life to travel by coach from one country to other, especially when it is a long distance. I felt very tired and wasn't able to relax.

Very good call. A balloon is something I have not experienced yet either. Balloon! I just put a priority stamp on it.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I like the idea of teleportation...That sounds like an amazing way to travel. I'd like to add in time travel though...I have a few places in the past I'd like to go, a person I'd like to save.

!ENGAGE 20

Eh dude, have you guys been in a balloon? That's something I haven't experienced yet.

Yeah, Loire Valley, France. It was nice. Good view and all, peaceful. I'm more of a helo dude though. Helicopters. 😏

I've been in some helicopters, only one by choice.

Is a balloon one of those things glad you did it once? Something I've always wanted to do, just haven't had the opportunity.

Yep, I'm glad I did it but theses days I'd rather halo jump out of a C130. Don't let me dissuade you mate, get it done.

Aww..your idea of going in the past to save a person is touching. I do think that we do the best we can as humans in a precise moment. It is the most we can do and nothing less or more while being in a place at that moment in time. More specifically, what we decide to do in a certain place at a certain time is just the best decision we can take for that moment there. Does it make sense to you?

This makes perfect sense, yes. Thank you for saying it.

If only we could manage timelines and go back to fix or rearrange things differently...
Hugs, my dear @maylenasland!

I think my favorite transportation is still the first car that I owned. I bought it when I was in the Army and drove it back home when I got out. I drove the car for 7 or 8 years until the engine broke a piston ring. It was a 1963 Ford Falcon. I bought it well used in 1975, so it was 12 years old at that point.
The engines in the old cars didn't hold up as well as the more modern cars...my current vehicle was made in 1993 and has 180 thousand miles on it, and still burns very little oil. It's just not as cool as that old Falcon.
I don't have a digitized picture of it.

There's always a thing with a first. 😃

Like they always say, first love never dies 🙂
I can imagine the love you had for your old Falcon.
Did you perhaps sell it out or it's still lying in your garage?
I am curious to know.

It got sold for parts many years ago. The underbody was very rusted out.

Oh, I see. Guess it was worth it

Am I hearing (reading) a potential pet project happening in the future??? Resurrection of a Falcon?

I wish! That car has been gone for 30 years...

Very cool, 1963 Falcon. I remember looking at a 1964 Falcon coupe when I was around 17...I needed it so badly but alas I never got it...The one that got away I guess. Also, I didn't realise you were ex-Army. Pretty cool. ✅

I can imagine how cool you'd look in this. 👌🏽

That is just about exactly the car I had. It was metallic orange when I got it, but the original color was red like the one in the picture.

Considering the type of car and the time that that you acquired it. How expensive was it then?

What do you have now? My VW van is from 92! (made a comment here somewhere about hem) Got 275000 km on it!

My current vehicle is a 1993 Ford Explorer Sport 2 door. It's pretty much a Bronco with a different name. 4 liter V-6 with about 190 thousand miles on it.

93, that's a modern one 😋Mine is from 92 😂

Hell yeah a 64 Falcon! My cousin had a Falcon, I'm not sure the year but it was right around the same year.

Great times in that car!

My legs. I can walk to places I could not reach with other forms of transportation. Also so far they are working well so I don't have to yearly check if they are still good. I don't need to do any repairs or look spare parts.

But having a horse or a yacht would also be cool. With them I would still have a lot of freedom and would not have to interact with too many people. Also horse/ yacht most of the time have a lot of space so avoiding other horses/ yachts would be esier.

Yacht to stop horsin around, everyone knows two feet are handy.

Haha, the introvert's dream. I forgot about the yacht, but I would take one too!

Your answer is very ingenious, the legs are our main transport ❤️.

Lol, Legs transport. It seems we have a lot of walkers here.
A horse sounds cool too. I wish to raise that also some day

I think that with ,,footprints'' already in my nickname it would be weird if I would not advertise a footmobile(?)😜

Indeed, I see where you are coming from lol😏

Legs, a horse or a yacht in that order? Seems totally legit.

As it turns out, legs is my answer too and I have a post for Saturday saying it. Where would we be without legs?

That's an easy one!
I can't think of anything else than my bicycle. 😀
Of course, this is a tricky question, as it depends on the usage, I am writing this after a 50' commute to town in my car so to me, a car is just work and wasted time in traffic jams. On the opposite, I associate my bike with pleasure, vacation, nature, health, sport, and of course, friendship whenever I travel or go out with some friends and sometimes even with wine!!

image.png

I wouldn't say I like a bicycle, because my last experience wasn't really a fun one.
But I wouldn't mind learning how to ride it either, yeah I don't know how to ride a bicycle 😞

Good experiences come when you know enough to forget about the bike and enjoy the ride. What I love the most is how an easy and quite simple "machine" gives you so much independence and pleasure.

That's nice then
I wish to enjoy a ride some day

I know right?
I guess you wouldn't mind being my teacher with that too ;)

I would have expected your pushbike being your favourite...It provides more than just transport I guess, as you say! This is a cool picture too!

!ENGAGE 20

I will love to try kayaking with you sometime too!!!

A most legit mode of transport. Nothing quite like kayaking in the wilderness, pulling up on the shore, a ,spot of lunch, freshly brewed coffee on the JetBoil. Paddling some more. Nice way to spend a day.

What about mixing both for a weekend? 😃

I'm in.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Bicycles are such companions. You can go anywhere with them and they also exercise your legs. What more could you want? ❤️. Loved that pic.

Gracias Laura!

A bike is the got to transport for a lot of people.

Ah, yes! Someone speaks my language. Nice wheels dude! See you at the other end.

I'm not a big fan of driving cars. They're big, fast and accidents can turn out pretty bad. You're also not very.. ehm... pff what's the word... bendy? You can't just drag your car to the side or turn it around easily when you're in the wrong place. Sorry, Google translate is no help! 'Wendbaar' is the Dutch word, but it seems the English still need to find a nice word for that.

Anyway, I do have a car because it's needed to get to a job. Easy for groceries and such. I hardly ever drive my bycicle anymore, but that is my favorite form of transport. You're outside, fresh air, wind through your hair, getting some exercise... it's really relaxing (depending on your speed). So thanks for this topic, it reminds me I need to get my bike fixed!

Also, for a faster transport, I do like the train a lot. It's just that I've hardly ever lived in a place where you could easily get to a train station. It was a pretty relaxing way to tavel towards my school back in the day for one of my studies. Just sit there, listen to some music or read a good book (or do some work). Very handy!

I'm a bicycle guy too. As far as wendbarr, there's totally an English word for it:

Fubar❗️

!FUNNY <-- That's not really a token or anything but sometimes I crack myself up and think it should be tokenized.

Oh yes, why has no one made that a token yet?

Yes, cars can be problematic I guess, but it seems almost everyone has one these days. Some more than one.

I like pushbikes also however at the moment I do not have one. Hmm, thinking on that now I have no clue why I don't have a bike...I have a mountain-bike recreation park across the road from my house so...Maybe I should rectify my no-bike status.

Thanks for joining in this week!

On a ridiculous level I got an adult scooter so I can scoot with the kids and I must say, I love the damn thing. I can scoot for miles and probably go a bit faster than is recommended, no helmet or any of that jazz for me! Dont have a pic of me on the damn thing tho.

Here it is, Its bloody awesome although I do get some funny looks from non-Titans! https://www.micro-scooters.co.uk/micro-suspension-scooter-black.html

I like the black color.

I'm still trying to make use of it, the last time i used my sister's own. I ran myself to a street light pole😑😑

Hahahhaha, I can't help but laugh this out.
You ran yourself to a street light pole?
I hope you weren't ignored badly though.
Yeah the black color scooter is shiny and cool looking

Yeah. 😑 just some small scratches on my face.
Since then, i vowed not to try it again 😩

Only scratches and you doing as if you broke an arm 😏😏🙄😹
Don't mind me though, sorry about that experience

😏😏 i don't joke with my face 😊, its what makes me cool, you know 😂😂

Ouchy!!! Its easy to crash the things. I have only fallen off once when I hit a big bump and it stopped dead but I didn't! :OD

😮
That hurts. Then i was moving with full speed, i could not control myself.

Ye gods Boomy! That's a very nice looking scooter. Methinks not for the non-Titan's of society...Or, if they happened to find themselves on one, they would need a helmet...Titans of course...Not. Titans would never lower themselves to wear a helmet preferring to crack the noggin on the pavement...Titan-style.

I really do want a scooter, I always have. This looks so cool.

On a ridiculous level, I think adult scooter and micro scooter are two completely different things and mixing the two up could touch a sensitive area.

If you upgrade to transformer wheels and kick rocks with these shoes, one 30 second clip and you'll be famous like that Jenner gal dude.

This is actually easy for me, I had a nice truck at one time, then I got sick. I had to trade that truck for something a whole lot cheaper. It was traded for a 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage LS Coupe. I ended up loving that little piece of shit car. Who would have ever thought a $12,000 car could be so fun. It of course was a small car, I was single so I did not car. That little piece of shit car took me places that people with four wheel drive rigs feared to travel. I could straddle the ruts and ride on the ridges that others had left before. I loaded and loaded that trunk with rocks til the wheel closed on the wheel well, then took just enough rocks out so the wheels cleared the wheel wells. Oh man I have to tell you that was a fun run home. The things we young and dumb do. The front wheels were barely on the pavement. I had to pull over and transfer some rocks to the front in front of the passenger seat and the driver seat, of course making sure the break pedal was not blocked. Highly recommended that other do not do that.

I had that car from 1996 to 2012. I changed the tires twice a year and the oil twice a year. I had to replace the shocks and struts once, and had one incident with a rock poking a hole in my oil filter once that needed to be replaced. The air filter got change out once, that was after a volcanic ash fall and a lot of glacier silt build up. I survived having some kid run into the driver front quarter panel.

In and around town I got 30 MPG, and on straight Highway driving I got 36 MPG. If I wanted to pass someone, even though it was not a real fast car, there really was no problem doing so. I know all the reviews say other wise, but I could pass with no problem. The only thing that really failed on it was the LED panel for the clock and radio, but I didn't care about time then, still don't care about it, and the radio was hardly ever on.

Mine was the forest green color with the tailgate airfoil. Sorry no pictures but a google search will show what it looked like. I really did enjoy that car steady everyday driver, go anywhere, and pretty much problem free.

ended up loving that little piece of shit car

I've had cars I've said similar about.

I know the one, even that colour...There must have been a million of them around here. Good cars and it seems like your particular one was the little Mitsi that could! You certainly gave it a work out! Still, it lasted for a while and served you well...I declare this a legit answer!

!ENGAGE 20

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Lol that sounds like an awesome little car! I had a Pontiac many years ago it was a 92 I think, loved that thing! It held up so well, drove really smooth and had decent power and gas mileage! What did you load the car up with rocks for, traction? That's what it sounds like lol

To build a shale dry stack rock wall around a couple of planting areas. Creating a micro climate for my strawberries so the soil would be warmer.

This is so cool! As for me, my favorite mode of transportation is on water, i love using a boat, even though my place of work is close to rivers and also available roads. But the calmness and sweet breeze when you are on boat and moving with full speed. That free spirit, you could hear it calling you. Trust me

Sometimes it might be risk.. Like very risk😏😏

I would love to own a Telsa car ❤❤ i so much love that car.

I was on a canoe one time somewhere in Nigeria.

I always felt this thing would turn over and fuck us all up, it never did 😂.

The feel from open waters is always blissful.

😂😂 i had that experience my first time on water.. It like no ending 😂😂

Omo, at the first stage I was already wishing the whole trip to end 😂

😂😂 i swear down 😂😂

But its always fun anyways. 😁

Water transportation is a No Go Place for me.
I don't even area. If it causes the fear of falling off the boat is second to none, or the thought of something bad happening.
But I agree the sweetness and freshness of the wind, water, and everything is just top notch.

She can't swim 😏😏..
Wild space.. That when the thought of falling will popping in your mind😂

😒😒 you are right, I can't swim.
Yes, I can't go into the water, and you don't expect me not to think wild

No..
Well dear, safety first 😉

What sort of boat do you use? In my mind it's something like this...

I can see you on the river livin' large.

The water transport is very good, however it scares me to think about the depth . Panic.

I soooo agree with you on that whole depth part under you. I'm a windsurfer and I always have one eye on the water underneath me. And I dream of a nice old wooden sailing yacht, you know, nothing fancy, something cute and small like this - also totally in my $$ league - not- hahaha - a girl may dream, right?

Hello all Hive friends!!!

It's been many weeks since I participated and I missed it!

Always interesting weekend topics, but my last weeks have been a nightmare for my body and my mind... A move that has coincided with the start of a new job, with a huge volume of work (especially on weekends ) since it is a restaurant, which leaves me very little free time in general... Even to practice and not lose the habit with a means of transport that I find the most interesting and I love it even if it scares me :)

selfissimo_3_2020_07_1_15_24_03.png

I'm talking about the Skateboard... And yes I love it! Although I am still a very beginner, it has been a little over a year since I started riding, but between confinement, my seasonal jobs and the lack of decent floors in the place where I live, I do not move very fast... And before that. I said that it scares me and it is true, but it is a fear that makes me smile :) Maybe it is difficult to understand... I am too old to learn Skate, it is not that I am an old woman, I am 33 years old but it is not the same as Being 16, when you get older, you think more, things scare you like the consequences of breaking an arm or a leg, etc... That is why I am clear that I am not going to be the one who does incredible tricks and jumps on her skateboard, but I love rolling, feeling the wind in my face, and the asphalt under my feet, it's a great feeling, just like feeling you accelerate downhill, until I accelerate so much that I have to stop because I think I lose control! haha I repeat again, I am a beginner and I advance slowly, but I have a great time :)

skate.jpg

And as a form of transport, it is enough to have smooth floors and two legs to get anywhere and with a little practice and daring maybe jump or have fun with an obstacle on the way. It's also a great way to exercise on the go.

I also love my skateboard, with the grip tape hand painted by my loved @neshk

skatelast.jpg

I wish you all a happy weekend :)

Skateboards were something I never got the hang of...I tried once and just about broke my back. Tried again, same result. Gave up and followed safer pursuits. 😬

I hope your workload lessens and you find some time for yourself.

!ENGAGE 20

❤️❤️❤️ you need to make more space in your life for doing thing's that make you smile 😘😘😘

I sure do like the way your kicks match the grip tape!

And you have a great weekend as well.

For the longest time I was a sports car kinda girl. Upon the first opportunity read: I had just moved from Germany to Switzerland and I earned a few bucks more - so I spent them on 4 wheels. Mind you I didn't have enough to pay off the car in one go, but I got to ride my dream car - at the time, which was the year 2000.

Z3_3.jpg

Z3_1.jpg

I know it is a very polarizing car, but I guess it always reminds me of a 60s Jag E-type - now that's a cute car that I'd love to drive one day... Though at being 184cm/6'1 tall, I might have an issue fitting into it - LOL

Capture.JPG

I'm with you, I could rock an E-Type even though I'm a 4x4 and pickup truck kinda guy.

Classy!

Hey you, we're eye to eye, you and I.

You go right 6-1 ahead and grab the wheel. Punch the pedal.. let'yer hair down. Good thing smokes barreling off the tires cuz the cops are getting close.

Errrtt

Oh yeah, I'll take the wheel, the cops will ever only see our beautiful rear, smoke and hair on the wind - some call me the 'German speed devil'

They think that's fast, wait'll they see us with our seatbelts on.

Well, my favourite mode of transport is two wheelers. Easier to beat the heavy traffic and reach on time and parking friendly.

Recently had a scene with the cops during the first day of curfew in our state. We had to be off streets by 10pm and unfortunately I was stuck out till 10:10pm. yup, just 10mins late. Was stopped by the cops and asked to wait. I ended up having an argument with one of the cops as she left a drunk doctor go home just because he was a doctor.

Well, nothing against doctors but, it ain't right. If he was on duty let him go. But he was drunk. Unfortunately for me, the cops didn't like me questioning them and they ceased my two wheeler and awarded me with an FIR.

It took me 15 days to release the two wheeler. Sadly the scooter wasn't mine and belonged to a friend. He and his dad had to come with me to the court for releasing it. First time in my life such thing has happened with me. I felt bad that his dad had to go through this because of me questioning the authority. Now vehicle is released after paying a fine amount of 45$. I still have to deal with the FIR once the court opens after lockdown.

But I still love using two wheeler and will continue to do so, and will still question when something is wrong.

Two wheelers are a lot of fun. Such negativity shall not take me down 😝

Not sure if this is relevant to the topic, but two wheelers are my favorite mode of transport and this was the only bad memory I have.

Hmm, that doctor story...I've heard similar before, them being let go like that. Not legit really.

I ride motorbikes myself so can understand the attraction. So, yep totally relevant to the topic.

Have a good weekend.

!ENGAGE 20

Yup. They need to at least check if the doctor was on duty or not.

Agreed.

Short and sweet answer today, been to busy to touch sides this week....

Train - Anywhere the train goes I would be happy to be onboard, not these fancy new ones, old puffing billy, windows that open, a platform at the end of each carriage giving you an opportunity to enjoy everything in sight. No matter the country! My answer this week most definitely is a Train.

Giphy steam train:

I love me a steam train...A method of transport that changed the world in its day. Classic.

Nice choice Joan.

Have a nice day and weekend.

Wind back the clock, to enjoy all over again! Sadly not much left of our rail system, let alone train travel. Couple of small private rails still running, very few.

Mine has to be my Chevy Bolt EV. Of course, being more of a techie than a mechanic, I love the push button and go simplicity. I LOVE not having to stop at the gas stations any longer and having a "full tank" every morning. She does 0-60mph in 6 seconds, so very fun to drive, I still love leaving people sitting at the stoplights, lol.

I couldn't resist making a full post on the subject after having driven it for 4 years now. Check out the full post and video review here, on the weekend community:

2017-Chevy-Bolt.jpg

Hmm, not sure if we have that here but I can certainly understand why you like it. It's the way I'll go eventually...I mean, I love my trucks and four-wheelers but always have a more sensible car, I call my town car. Currently a Ford Escape. It's petrol though. (gas you call it I guess.) We'll all be on the electric cars eventually and we are getting more and more here. 0-60mph isn't too shabby also. Nice.

!ENGAGE 20

Yes, and quarter mile in 14.9 seconds. We have a couple weird intersections nearby, where there is a stoplight and then a quick merge from 2 lanes to one lane. Folks are always trying to be in the first spot or two of the right lane and then jump out ahead of the left lane folks to merge (or cut) in front of them. It feels like a teenager again being able to "take" nearly all of them off the line easily, including some Porsches, BMW's, Camero's, etc. Let alone the average everyday sedans and pickup trucks.

The electric motors are able to transfer all of that power nearly instantly, 200HP and 266 lb-ft of torque. I highly suggest at least test-driving an EV. The performance alone is worth the change. Likely the closest I'll ever get to owning a "real" sports car like a Ferrari or such. If I win the Lotto, I'll both a Tesla Truck and the Sportster!

That's a legit 1/4 mile time!

I can't get a concept of size though...Like, small SUV?

I might have to go and test drive an EV car just to see what it's like.

Yes, like a small SUV, it's a little shorter than a Chevy Equinox if you folks have those.
Bolt = 94 cubic feet of passenger space, 17 cubic feet of cargo space behind rear seat. 56.6 Cubic feet of cargo space with back seats folded flat.

Equinox = 103.2 cubic feet of passenger space, 30 cubic feet behind rear seat and 63.5 cubic feet of cargo space with back seats folded flat.

There will be lots of other options in another year or two, it seems just about every manufacturer is jumping on the EV bandwagon.

Yeah I reckon there will be a stream of them coming through. Should bring the price down. Yours seems a decent size too, not too big or small. I'd say about the same size as my Ford Escape.

Definitely a little smaller than a Ford Escape, but not obnoxiously so.... mainly missing that extra storage space in the back. The front and passenger seating quite roomy. Esp. since there's no hump in the middle. I test drove it and fell in love, even if a little ugly, it's all about the specs, function, and performance for me.

Hmm, not sure if we have that here but I can certainly understand why you like it. We are told :

If you don't own a motorbike, you are not a Vietnamese 😃 (so you know why Vietnamese very skillfully at riding motorbike ..lol)

Yeah, so you know motorbike is the most favorite transport to all Vietnamese in generally and so do I 🙂

I've been using other modern or convenient transports like MRT or plane even drove the car all over New New Zealand. But when I get back to Viet Nam, the motorbike is my first choice ( Car is very expensive here honestly 😃) to drive & explore things around. Traffic is terrible and no rules 😕 here ..lol so when you drive professionally here, I'm sure you can drive anywhere in the world.😂

If you plan to do a road trip to Viet Nam, motorbike is highly recommended to explore the whole country and easily accessible to reach any narrow corner or even riding up to the hills. Cheap fuel is a plus 😉

Yes, I've heard they're so many bikes in Vietnam. 😃

Even without saying that in the post. I easily identify the Vietnamese with the motorbike 🙂 they use them a lot in the movies I watch.
Car isn't that really expensive here but it depends on the location.

The tax of car is very high in VN 😃 so the price of the car here is normally double comparing to other countries 😕

Oh wow! I see.
Still glad you guys have something less in price

It's now officially on my list!
I must look into driving to New Zealand too cause that sounds like a serious adventure!

My Vietnamese car license can use to drive in 16 overseas countries for at least a year, not sure about yours. But it's definitely amazing to drive through New Zealand by Car..!! You will love it :)

I haven't ridden a motorbike in Vietnam but I have in Thailand a few times and it's a bit hectic, but a lot of fun. I'm not surprised this is your answer...A good answer it is too!

!ENGAGE 20

oh wow I don't that you can ride a motorbike @galankp Coolll. Yea it's very fun but irritating sometimes riding under scorching weather 😃

Yeah, ridden motorbikes for a long time. Sports bikes, not scooters.

I have seen umpteen videos of you over there in big huge packs of motorbikes weaving in and out and around vehicles, the ladies sitting sideways because of their dresses. Frikkin nuts and I wanna do it!!!

Oh well I never saw a man sitting sideways on a motorcycle haha...You remind me...I used to do the same but now I don't mind my skirts and just sit on both sides. 😃.
Some of my foreign friends find it tricky when first riding a scooter here but they love it now lol
It would be fun yea let's do itttt :))

I have a few Vietnamese friends back then on facebook, and all I saw always was pictures of motorbikes xd.

Your story checks out 😂

Oh I see Hahaa check out some crazy and fun of Vietnamese riding a motorbike on youtube, you will laugh out loud 😃😂
what's the most popular transport in your country?

Will do 😁.

I think the most popular has to be motorbike too, but here it has being commercialized.

It can get dangerous too sometimes

Hi there! At this time of pandemic, I am careful not to get close contact with people. Having said, I prefer to use my old motorbike in commuting. I only go out when I submit the learning modules of my granddaughter then I do my groceries.

This photo was taken with my grandkids after our morning service, a month before the lockdown. I also use this when I go to the farm.

Not a lot of woman ride motorbikes here in my country.

You've got a beautiful family too.

Motorbikes are legit transport! I've ridden bikes for a long time and love it!

Well that's en easy question! It's my VW camper van!
I am a photographer and i am traveling trough the Netherlands to photograph the beautiful nature around me. Going for a sunset mission somewhere and go for a sleep in the van and be there again for sunrise. That's what freedom feels like for me!

IMG_4471.jpg

One day they predicted heavy snowfall for the weekends and that means the roads are not reliable so i went out the day before. Get myself a nice spot in the woods and the next morning when i woke up it was a totally new world.

Last weekend i spend my day's at a VW camper van meeting in the Netherlands. Shot this one with my new telephone! I love the night modes on the Samsung S21 Ultra.

20210213_165304.jpg

Another epic post by the Mr @Galenkp and I have to say I have a number of forms of fav transport. I'm a man of power and engines. Nothing like a big V8 and the roar it let's off and the pure power. Don't give me a sports car, I'm not interested in a car unless you can hear it. Muscle cars to match.... well my muscles 🤣

I used to own motorbikes too, nothing major just a few Yamaha 250s and a Honda that we used to thrash in the bush. I was all set to buy a Harley until the wife stepped in. Probably a good thing she did, I was a bit of a maniac on it and they are quite dangerous.

But I've long since retired and my current SV6 fills some what of a void, I love wagons it doesn't compare to my 99 VS Senator I had as a kid. Was a beaut a real dream car. Paid $32,000 for it which was big coin in those days. Unfortunately, a friend who borrowed it couldn't handle its power and I was left with a debt and no car.

These days I'm back on the 2 wheels but leg powered. I love it, the freedom kinda like the bike but nothing like it if that makes sense. I enjoy it because it's open, accessible to many locations and alone too.

I also strap lil miss 3 on the back and we head off for a few hours exploring.

I want to eventually upgrade to a better bike I've only got a Scouts mountain bike still cost a pretty penny buy I'm tossing up buying a road bike.

Nothing wrong with a pushy! Crashed many in my day.

Hi how nice that it's Friday....
I was looking for a picture to help me explain why I like this vehicle.... It is a family motorcycle, it will allow me to be in the city, get parking quickly, take my mom in the seat comfortably to the doctor or to make a visit ... And also, I will be able to take my desserts to the establishments... Since it's a motorcycle I'll be able to get ahead of the cars in the gas lines .... In other times I would have chosen a super big truck, but now a vehicle like this will help me more in the day to day.
Besides, this model is so classic, I love its old car shape.

Happy weekend

We all know you'll get to it, mate. No worries. Have you heard the Florida Georgia remix they did with Nelly. Both versions are a jam. Nice choice.

I'm still thinking of a favorite transport. The obvious correct answer is the make and model of the vehicle(s) that took me home from lawful detainment but even that "(s)" could tarnish my soft, nice-guy persona so I'm still thinking.....

Yeah man, I like me both versions but prefer the original FGL version the best. (I'm a down-home country lad you know).

I'm sure you'll come up with a decent option take your time, you have all weekend.

I'd love to see those e vehicles :)

No you wouldn't, sir. Anything used to transport one self away from a detention center isn't a sight worth seeing.

Did you already comment your favorite vehicle?

😅

Yes I did, and its probably not what you're expecting, xd

For now I only own a motorbike.
It is my favorite motorcycle and my favorite too, because I have nothing else.
Maybe it's not yet time for me to get another one, because I need to save a lot to get that.

I wish I had a motorbike. Lucky you 😏

Yeah,
Hopefully you will get it ...

Thank you man.

Cheers

yeah,welcome...

Having a motorbike is far better than not having a motorbike. I think you'll agree.

Yeah,I totally agree with that ...

What kinda motorbike is it? And is it a two seater? Do you hav a favorite passenger?
These are serious inquires.

You know what? I already said cars are my favorite but the rapid train “Shinkansen” is pretty cool too. The ride is fast but so smooth. It’s more like a plane experience on tracks.
untitled.gif

Bullet trains are really fast so they get you to where you want to go quickly but I can’t imagine traveling in them for short distances.

You’re right. It’s a waste to just get in then out. Lol

I suppose for a country it would have benefits like increased economic activity between cities or reduced dependence on foreign oil as many passengers could take it instead of driving their own vehicles 🚗 or taking gas guzzler planes ✈️.

You have some good points there.

With all this commenting I’m realizing I haven’t really said what my preferred means of transport is.

Haha!! So what’s your favorite? A brave board?

Changing your mind huh?

Haha! Variety is the spice of life.

So they say...Nothing wrong with a change of mind.

Right?! Lol

You know I always thought if something like this even existed. I have seen it in one too many movies.

Another thing I am pondering is how it goes super fast and the inside still stays firm, or does it?

Yes, it’s an official mode of transport here. Great for traveling from prefecture to prefecture. You know, it always puzzles me. It does stay firm. When in it, you don't "feel the speed". It’s so smooth.
I sometimes go Shinkansen-watching with my kids. We wait for it, it appears and then in a flash, disappears.

Ah men, that sounds so good. You should do a video of it sometime. I'd love to see ups fast it moves first hand.

😃I might be able to find or take a video but it’s quite similar to the GIF.

Ah it is, dang it.

I was thinking it would be a lot more different.

Still go ahead and shoot it. 😁

Shoot it? Oops! I misunderstood. Lol

Trying to get the video up in the comment box via dappler but to no avail.

I haven't done it, but I think paramotoring would be incredible.

@unipsycho posts his adventures over Canada, and it looks so serene.

Paramotoring? That must be parasailing but with an engine?

Holly sheet, that is absolutely beautiful.

I reckon I'd give that a go! What could go wrong? 🤣

I guess if you have an open parachute above you, there's only so much that can go haywire. I might want to lose a little weight first.
A 7 min flight, 3 feet above the ground, doesn't sound like much fun :)

Lol...Like I said, I'd do it.

This is a cool engagement topic @galenkp I reckon that if we lived in a very icy climate my preferred mode of transport would be skating on ice to get places. But I live in an almost desert so that ain't gonna happen here. I'm pretty shit at anything to do with water so any kind of boating is out of the question. I love my car but it's not that reliable if SHTF.

So...I don't see a favourite...You know you have to pick one right? Lol. Maybe go with your ideal/favourite SHTF bug-out vehicle.

Ok ok, fine lol.
No in all seriousness I'd have to choose my car. She's old and kinda rusty at 14years old, but she's taken me almost everywhere I've needed to be. My Opel 1600 sport.

Lol...Any man that can rock sandals and socks like your husband here certainly deserves a mention!

This comment had me in stitches! 🤣🤣🤣 This is how you roll in Oudtshoorn.

Oudtshoorn: Sandals and socks capital of the world.

Hey @galenkp and @dandays I can see by some of the replies that my post may have been taken as us being offensive. It really wasn't meant that way, we've had a rough week and we were really just being silly. Sorry if it came across as abrasive.

That was funny.

Well, if shitty vehicles are your favorite mode of transportation, you're the happiest girl in Galens comment section. That's pretty cool.

For my plan B, I'd have to go with my Santa Cruz (whoa, large photo ahead!):

IMG_20200306_072641.jpg

I bought this one over 10 years ago, before the fat tires were a thing. I spent quite a bit of money on it. I had just gotten over a difficult breakup with a girl I had been with for some time and felt like I needed something to refresh my life. I biked on this thing every day for a year, through winter, spring, summer, and the fall. Rain or shine (and snow). I was a new person, you know, and this helped me get there.

Of course, I don't use it as much as I used to, but I still get it tuned up every year, and now I get to pull Hattie around with it in her child carrier. That bike has been with me for a long time. Crazy, actually, to think about the history I have with such a thing,

It's so good this bike helped you move forward and on with life and no wonder it means so much to you.

This is really cool!!!!Now I want to change my answer. lol 😂
I'll go with car and foot. I feel like feet can take me anywhere. I enjoy driving to the countryside to see the lovely views. Met in an accident once, it wasn't major but it was frightening as I was driving with kids and couldn't understand how is it that the accident happened. Didn't see it coming.

So sorry about the accident. I am sure you and the kids were safe.
Nothing severe happened.
I hate going on foot. My siblings and friends know how much I hate it 😓
I choose car and it's my best for now.
Do you really enjoy trekking?

Thanks. We were all safe. I however had to drive that route several times to get over the fear I developed after that.
Actually, I'm not a trekker. Lol
I enjoy going for little nature walks and enjoy walking around to shop. 😂

Yeah, I do take walks but not long-distance ones.
It's cool to meet a trekker, my elder sis would love you for that. She is a born trekker😹

I however had to drive that route several times to get over the fear I developed after that.

I am glad you did this and thank God for your safety

I do short distances too. 😂Not in for the the very long ones.

Thanks. 😃

my elder sis would love you for that. She is a born trekker😹

😂😂😂😂 that part made burst into laughter

Lol. I bet it did. She too likes trekking and I am not in for it.
She wouldn't mind trekking from Lagos to Abuja 😹

Oh i'm glad your okay.
Hmm, so you enjoy the safe walk and view of nature itself while trekking 🤔

There's no fun trekking😂, it so tiring, even though its a form of exercise to the body😏. I still don't like it😂

Yes o. Very tiring @ubani1 and I don't like it either. It makes my bones and joints ache so much

Yeah, true.
Some people finds it cool and fun😑

Lol! I guess it's kinda cool if you're seeing interesting things along the way and if the weather is good. I wouldn't know really. Lol

I guess it's kinda cool if you're seeing interesting things along the way

😂😂 maybe i would agree to that.

Feet come in handy when operating a vehicle.

Yes. Lol😃

Yes, I was just about to type my response when I saw yours. I had to re-think. 😂

Wow this looks awesome. Where can I get one? I can imagine avoiding all traffic jams using this. I wonder what the fuel efficiency is like.

😁Either way that’s a really cool ride. Since it appears to be someone pet research project, I suppose they are not in mass production yet.

Great 👍🏻. I suppose I’ll have to research the market price one way or another.lol. I can envision these in a futuristic movie 🎥 but not in the city. Do you think they’ll be common in the not too distant future?

That's one crazy flyboard air. Very cool. And it's very fast.
But I don't think I can ride this. The fear, gosh, that guy on it looks cool and enjoying his ride

Hahahahha. The pleasure will be all mine. So when are we going for the ride?🙂

Lol. My enquiry into the price was only out of curiosity. Im sure I don't have the way or means to afford such luxury. Maybe we can combine our lifetime earnings on the blockchain and do a kind of car share. Or should I say Jet share.😂 😂

Hehehehhe. I am liking this ideal. So we wait for him then lol

Haha nice!
I wonder how birds feels about you 🤔🤔🤔.
Have the met in a emergency meeting? Are they organizing and plotting to get you out of their airspace?! I have so many questions 😂

Hahaha you are o funny with all the weird questions

Your questions are always the best, always make me laugh while imagining these things. Your sense of humour is on point!

That is super awesome! I would worry a lot if this would become a normal way of transportation though. Not only could everyone just fly over my house and garden all day long (privacy), but also, there's plenty of accidents already without the added difficulty of height. It would be chaos!

@playfulfoodie accident? Like you mean having to bump into others? I really worry about that too you know?

Exactly, I think that could be really scary up in the air when you would have to look everywhere. Especially at busy places!

Damn! This is awesome 😊, i hope i won't crash 😏😏

😂😂 Alright then 😁

😮 i guess i have to call my Doctor to prepare a special ward for me😑😂😂

I need one of these to get to work a bit quicker. It'll give me a bit more of a sleep in each morning as I'll be able to avoid the traffic.

Who needs safety...It's overrated.

Throw it in the same pile as the instructions.

Haha, yep. 🙂

Lol...I've been hornless in my day...It happens.

Well now that definitely looks like a heap of fun, imagine zipping to and from work on that.

Hjajaja bueno solo somos mama, mi hija y yo. Creo que si las puedo montar a todas.... Y los peroles....

Dude thats crazy😂. Looks so fun, but is that thing even safe.

That right about solves everything. 😂 how much does this thing cost anyway?

If I had the money 💰 I’d certainly consider buying one of these. However @por500bolos seems to have the price shrouded in secrecy so we may never know how many Hives it takes to hover around like Marty McFly on this modern day Back to the Future gadget. Who knows maybe @por500bolos actually has one already. What do you think @zellypearl?

Lol, well, I don't think he does anyway

You have to get that price quickly 😂

He will gift me one too

With a 20/20 eyesight, plenty of cacumen and a good heap of common sense, everything is safe!! :)

Hahaha, I love that answer and maybe also with a 20/20 hindsight :)

Hahahahah that's so cool! Hope you live close to your work do 😋

No offense, I mean your fly board looks like a lot of fun and all. It only took me about twice the video time to successfully pass the captcha test, by the way. Just sayin. Pain in the ass! Kudos to other 70+ commenters who managed to break though security.

But while you're flyin around like a wanna-be Superman with a dinner plate under your feet, I'll be chillin with my feet up, mine has cup holders too
