It's a new work week and our family is hitting the ground running. Today is my final day to study before taking the license exam for my new job.
I did order new glasses (finally) and will be picking them up today. It'll be a big relief to be able to see clearly again as this prescription is over 5 years old (wow!).
But what I'm most grateful for today is that it's sunshiney outside. It's been cold and overcast these past few days, but the snow is melting and the sun is shining. The birds are beginning to sing again - all signs that spring is coming!
The bright sunshine was shining in my face. I had to squint just to keep my eyes open! I hear that sun-gazing is a thing. Maybe a little bit of sun gazing may RECHARGE my week.
All the snow and dampness is gone and it feels cold and crisp outside. And very very bright. The sun will continue to increase it's warmth as we draw closer and closer to the spring equinox.
If all goes well, I will be a sales academy (in Minneapolis) during the equinox, so when I return to my family, it will be officially "spring".
Bless the Most High, who makes the sun shine over both the wicked and the righteous!

Bless the Most High!
Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13
Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny
Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.
Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.
I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.

What a lovely time to be able to take selfies of yourself with the sun in shining in the eyes, making a "kissing face" is what we call it here :) !BBH
Ha "kissing face" maybe i was kissing the sun! !BBH
Thank God for the sunshine. Nature is amazing. Each season appears in its own time. Good luck with your license exams.
My special regard to the baby of the house.
!BBH
Yes! Spring is extra special to me, as things warm up again and everything comes back to life. !BBH
Nature is amazing and Nature's CREATOR is even more Amazing! !BBH
Yes it is starting here as well, and I'm glad for it. The house is so wet of all the rain so it can dry out during the start of spring
It's nice once things dry out in the sunshine. !BBH
Quite excited for nice weather, it will take a bit longer to reach me, but it will come eventually :)
!BBH
When the weather breaks, it's a great relief!
I'm glad that it's slowly getting warmer again and the sun is coming out. It puts you in a better mood straight away. :)
Sunshine really does improve a mood. !BBH

Thanks so much! I'm using my new glassees now, it'll take some getting used to.
Best of luck for your job exam!
Enjoy the blessings!
Thank you for that, if I don't make it the first time, there's always the second time. !BBH
Be very careful man, the weather is very complicated these days. In my village, one day the sun shines and then it can snow, then the sun shines again and then it's freezing cold. But hey, it's good to enjoy the sun.
Always cautious, thankfully the weather here is pretty stable. !BBH
At the beginning of the morning, the view of the sunrise is also very beautiful. Those who wake up early in the morning and enjoy this view, their health remains refreshed throughout the day.
That sounds lovely. !BBH
❤️
Wonderful outing for today.

The sooner the better. !BBH
Enjoy the new glasses my friend!👍😀
The Mrs always tells me and if you haven't had a new prescription in a long time, it might take a bit of getting used to.......
Liz is a licensed optician....🥰
I'm wearing the new glasses now... I haven't updated my prescription for at least 5 years so it's taking my brain/eyes some time to adjust. Wondering if I should use my old glasses for the exam tomorrow.
Hey there @gratefuleveryday! I'm @silvertop's other half and the optician. You are right; in the time between exams and the RX change, your brain is having a bit of trouble realizing reality is good. The old RX is comfortable like a nice worn pair of shoes or jeans! The only trouble with going back to the old, is that it will impact your ability to adapt to the new. I would take your old ones with you for the test, but start the day out in the new. Going forward, try not to go back to the old as it's like taking one step forward and then 2 back, because we crave what we know, and your eyes are no different.
However, if after 3-4 weeks of wearing nothing but the new ones; if you're still having trouble, consider having the doc do a recheck. I've seen doctors write down the wrong numbers before in an RX and I've seen people respond badly during exams because they were have an 'off' day. It happens.
Good luck on your test and take care! !LADY
Thank you for the excellent advice. These are my first progressive lenses, my "40 something" eyes have gotten there and I'm getting used to the blurry bottoms. But it's great being able to read again!
I remember feeling something like this years ago when I got my previous prescription - actually the last pair was so uncomfortable for my brain/eyes, they had to remake them. I sort of got used to them after a while. I wonder if wearing messed up lenses for years has messed up my brain somewhat! These new glasses are much better than those, but I am feeling some eye strain. Nothing a little ibuprophen can't help.
I'm planning on bringing my old pair and my new to the test - hopefully they'll allow me to bring both into the testing area, I hear they are extremely strict.
Sometimes, progressives do take a bit of getting used to. Perseverance is the best advice, but don't hesitate if after 3-4 weeks to seek a recheck if necessary. I've worn them for over 20 years (I started young, lol) and generally have never had any adaptability issues, but it can happen.
Take care and good luck on your test!
Hmmm.......... I just ran that question past my resident optician, let's see what she responds with!🥰
When I lived in cold climates, I always took so much joy in springtime. I'm glad that sun is finally showing its presence there, and that spring is in the air! I wish you immense success on your license exam! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
