I've Been Working On Some Solutions For HBT
As you may or may not know there has been a pause in the @hivebuilder project while the team figures out and fixes some issues with their bots and methods of earning. One key feature was going to be BTC mining via nicehash, however due to the current limits on stock this is out of the question, especially seeing how 3 year old 2nd hand cards are selling for double the original purchase value (I sold mine) it made sense to not jump into the mining business straight away and instead we will wait for a crash in btc and buy up the gpu's needed when the market is back to MRSP.
Options I Suggest:
#1 Change token model
The HBT model shouldn't need to require 4x or 5x batches to be completed each year, 20% APR is huge within itself and as it currently stands HBT could still likely complete 2x batches per year giving an APR of approx. 40%!
#2 Yield farming
This was not included in the methods of earning and can produce some good results when done correctly with the correct stable coins. It would definitely bolster the buybacks.
#3 More Staking
We could use more funds towards staking at approx. 60% APR however this would be lower than what is needed and would increase the time of buybacks by a long time unless boosted before staking from the teams funds.
#4 Include curation rewards from Hive
We have enough HP to earn a few Hive per day and this will continue to grow as more HBT is sold the more HP we will have, if we are to use curation we could see the numbers boosted slightly for the buybacks each week.
Ideally I think the token model should change, until we can build the mining rigs we need I think we should adapt and continue. If you can think of any methods that could help boost our buybacks then please let me know in the comments.
Your level lowered and you are now a Red Fish!
