My school era was terrible, with so much terror in school with kids and also with bad teachers that only wanted us to memorize everything, but I have good learning opportunities there that maybe I wish I could see again. But it is good to have unique experiences also since we can experience them once and remember about them. Rio de Janeiro has a museum that receives interesting rotating art exhibitions and my school organized visiting in two that really were important to me, the Rodin and Monet exhibitions. Both were important; I really felt, even being a high school student, that art always touched me somehow that I couldn't understand.
Feelings are difficult to express sometimes; we need the perfect environment to be able to understand and put them out. For sure, I never enjoyed drawing or sculpting much, but still art touched me; maybe I didn't have the required patience to get into it. Science was always my strong suit, the whys, the curiosity to understand the world. But still art is important to maybe find meanings to what resides inside me. And I really appreciate having contact with these exhibitions; maybe I will go deeper into some of them in the future. I want to explore more about Monet today since it is something that returned quite recently on me.
Claude Monet got obsessed with water lilies, painting different versions of his pond in the garden in the small city of Giverny. He painted these water lilies so many times in different seasons and luminosities. Probably he was a scientist like me, just observing and taking notes about these amazing species of plant. But he expressed his curiosity with art. All the questions he had about this aquatic plant. At that time, they were rare in France, and he bought it to add to his pond. Nowadays we can mostly see them in Botanic Gardens around the world to see their beauty.
Water lilies, by their uniqueness, may bring this value of being unique, a unique love perhaps? I always believed in a unique love when I was a teenager/young adult, and I just didn't know that this was difficult to achieve. Actually, my will to find my water lily was so high that I started to think that every woman/girl was the water lily that I was looking for. The person that we imagine would be our perfect match. But I started not feeling well about meeting women, either because they didn't want me, or because the ones that did just weren't a good fit for who I really am.
That is a bad feeling, right? Having an expectation about love, but not getting fulfilled; we always reach extremes: the ones that we think will fit just don't care about us, and the ones that care about us, they just have something that doesn't fit. Our ideal companions are water lilies; in a big world, they exist. Monet cheated and bought them, but how difficult is it to find them while walking in a park? Or sitting in a cafe? It is possible for sure, but I don't think anyone will go to the same park every day looking for their water lily, that could be disappointed, and I really think that no one should look so much, because the disappointment of not finding it could be terrible and the time spent also.
However, sometimes we can win the lottery and find this water lily. And I know when you find it, you will really know that it is your unique opportunity. I know that, and for me it is that person who, despite some differences, will still be the one that seems like the key for the lock to your heart, which is the best feeling that someone could experience. Actually, I believe that each one of us has their own water lily in themselves. The matching one could be out there somewhere. Probably they are part of our inspiration; well, since I met mine, which resides in me, I added a Monet's water lily wallpaper to my screen lock. So I can be inspired every day by this, giving me hope for better days.
Minha época escolar foi terrível, com muito terror na escola por causa das outras crianças e também com professores ruins que só queriam que decorássemos tudo, mas tive boas oportunidades de aprendizado lá que talvez eu goste de reviver. Mas é bom ter experiências únicas também, já que podemos vivenciá-las uma vez e nos lembrar delas. O Rio de Janeiro tem um museu que recebe exposições de arte rotativas interessantes e minha escola organizou visitas a duas que foram realmente importantes para mim, as exposições de Rodin e Monet. Ambas foram importantes; eu realmente sentia, mesmo sendo estudante do ensino médio, que a arte sempre me tocava de alguma forma que eu não conseguia entender.
Às vezes, é difícil expressar sentimentos; precisamos do ambiente perfeito para sermos capazes de compreendê-los e expressá-los. Com certeza, eu nunca gostei muito de desenhar ou esculpir, mas mesmo assim a arte me tocava; talvez eu não tivesse a paciência necessária para me aprofundar nela. Ciências sempre foram meu forte, os porquês, a curiosidade para entender o mundo. Mas ainda assim a arte é importante para talvez encontrar significados para o que reside dentro de mim.
E eu realmente aprecio ter tido contato com essas exposições; talvez eu me aprofunde em algumas delas no futuro. Quero explorar mais sobre Monet hoje, já que é algo que voltou a me interessar recentemente.Claude Monet ficou obcecado por nenúfares, pintando diferentes versões de seu lago no jardim da pequena cidade de Giverny. Os nenúfares, por sua singularidade, podem trazer esse valor de ser único, um amor único, talvez? Eu sempre acreditei em um amor único quando era adolescente/jovem adulto, e eu simplesmente não sabia que isso era difícil de alcançar. Na verdade, minha vontade de encontrar meu nenúfar era tão grande que comecei a pensar que toda mulher/garota era o nenúfar que eu estava procurando. A pessoa que imaginamos ser nosso par perfeito. Mas comecei a me sentir mal ao conhecer mulheres, seja porque elas não me queriam, seja porque as que queriam simplesmente não combinavam com quem eu realmente sou.
É uma sensação ruim, não é? Ter expectativas sobre o amor e não vê-las correspondidas; sempre chegamos aos extremos: aquelas que achamos que combinariam simplesmente não se importam conosco, e aquelas que se importam, têm algo que não se encaixa. Nossos companheiros ideais são os nenúfares; em um mundo grande, eles existem. Monet os comprou, mas quão difícil é encontrá-los caminhando em um parque? Ou sentado em um café? É possível, com certeza, mas não acho que alguém vá ao mesmo parque todos os dias procurando seu nenúfar, isso poderia decepcionar, e realmente acho que ninguém deveria procurar tanto, porque a decepção de não encontrá-lo pode ser terrível, assim como o tempo gasto.
No entanto, às vezes podemos ganhar na loteria e encontrar este lírio d'água. E eu sei que quando você o encontrar, saberá que é uma oportunidade única. Eu sei disso, e para mim é aquela pessoa que, apesar de algumas diferenças, ainda será aquela que parece ser a chave para o cadeado do seu coração, que é o melhor sentimento que alguém pode experimentar. Na verdade, acredito que cada um de nós tem seu próprio lírio-d'água dentro de si. O lírio-d'água correspondente pode estar por aí em algum lugar. Provavelmente, eles fazem parte da nossa inspiração; bem, desde que encontrei o meu, que reside em mim, adicionei um dos lírios-d'água de Monet à minha tela de bloqueio para me lembrar disso. Assim, posso me inspirar todos os dias com isso, o que me dá esperança de dias melhores.
As vezes procuramos muito e mesmo quando encontramos, parece que ainda temos que continuar procurando.
Talvez nunca acabe, talvez nunca termine, mas sei la, podemos ser o nosso amor próprio, o nosso verdadeiro amor e agradecer por isso. Enfim, tudo é sempre tão complicado :x

It can be something or someone. Both can have a connection when we ara talking about life by itself... maybe the meaning of our life? But I can say that it is something deep and very difficult to see most of the time...
