Inside Wat Pho, there are several temples you can visit. One of which was a temple of Phra Buddha Palilai, which is a huge Buddha image in a sitting position.

We have a Thai friend and she's Buddhist so we simply followed how she prayed (or wished, not sure with the correct term). Even if you're not a Buddhist, you can still pray and do the ritual.

To do the ritual, first we had to light this up. Then we knelt in front of the image, closed our eyes, and say our wishes in our minds.

I wasn't sure about the candles, I probably just didn't see our Thai friend lit it up somewhere. :D After praying, we put all the sticks on this plate.

I wished for good health for someone and happiness for me. :p
It's good to be reading your post again. One thing I know about Thai culture is the colorful traditional worship places.
I must say, your Fuji X-T4 is astonishing, it's compact and solid and really produces the best of pictures as well. Who was holding the camera in the second picture?
Thank you! I love this camera so much :D
@acidyo took the second pic and also that’s the only pic there that was taken with my iPhone since the lens I have for my camera is not wide enough to capture all of it.
Lovely shot. I didn't know the Fuji doesn't have a long wide coverage, I feel it excels best in close up and portrait shots. Wow. How's your travels so far? Having fun?
Oh they do have wide angle lenses, I just don’t have it haha. Yeah we’re done traveling so far, but it was really fun!
I have been watching this type of image in the movie and I get to see it here again, a very clear and nice shot
Thank you! :D
