Caracas can be a chaotic concrete jungle, but thanks to the vision of several architects and nature lovers throughout its history, the city has managed to take advantage of the geography around to preserve enough green to balance the urban stress.
Caracas Blooming

Surrounded by Cerro El Ávila, Caracas is home of a great variety of flora and fauna. The seasonal blooming of the apamates (savannah oak) are a sight to see.

These ones are located around Plaza Venezuela, one of the most popular áreas of the city.

Even though the traffic around the área is crazy most of the time, there are always people walking around or participating of different activities organized in this venue.
The square becomes some sort of island where nostalgic urban castaways can shop, watch shows, eat, read or relax.

This is the best time of the year to see these trees blooming. In the background, you can see the Central Park Towers (the tallest buildings in the city).

Traffic aside, I like this part of the city. It has spaces for children and families to relax and enjoy the city from a confortable standpoint.

This section here honors one of the most illustrous Venezuelans (later nationalized Chilean).

Andrés Bello!
The monument could benefit from more flowers or decorative bushes, but still it is a Nice place to pause and reflect.

Thanks for stopping by

Those really are spectacular trees. It's nice to have parks for children and families to relax and escape the bustle of the city just a little bit.
