For day 23 I’m supposed to write about all my piercings and tattoos. TLDR: I don’t have any.
I’m not sure what to write about on this one, because the truth is I don’t have any tattoos or piercings, and I never have. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have anything against tattoos or piercings. I grew up in a house where I couldn’t get a tattoo until I turned 18, and on top of that I just never thought they would look good on me.
I’ve thought about what I would get if I did decide to get a tattoo, and I’m really not sure about that either. It seems like so much pressure to make a decision on a permanent change to yourself. We have all seen the tattoos of the ex’s name, which’s been inked over to try and change it. I feel like I would feel like that about any tattoo I got.
I do not like needles, so a piercing is out of the question. I could not go through with letting someone punch a hole through me. Plus I’m pretty sure I would look really silly with any piercing. I just don’t have the face for it.
