Day 26’s topic is my pet peeves. I’m a genuinely patient person, but there are a few things that always get to me.
The first pet peeve I have is people not doing what they said they would do. Whether it’s someone arriving late, or not showing up to something they said they would be at. Or not following through on a promise, This always gets under my skin. It doesn’t always though. If the person tells me in advance that they won’t be able to do something the way they said that’s fine. I am completely understanding. What I can’t stand though is someone not respecting my time, or the time of others by falling through without notice.
My second pet peeve is similar. I can’t stand being talked down to or hearing someone else be talked down to. Again it’s the lack of respect shown that bugs me.
My last pet peeve is aggressive drivers. People who make selfish choices on the road to get somewhere a few seconds faster. Like driving down the side lane to go around traffic, or riding someone’s bumper when they aren’t going as fast as you would like. It’s the worst.
Those are my pet peeves. Like I said I’m pretty patient, but if you're going to be selfish, and disrespectful I don’t have time for it.
