By the year 1490 literally everything was to be discovered. If you don't believe me, ask Christopher Columbus, well in the event that some very powerful medium could communicate with him and interview him.
Speaking of mediums, this pandemic that is ravaging the world has sparked in me a curiosity for cable television in the absence of other more comforting ways to pass the time. It is not surprising, I like the outdoors and traveling around and knowing that when I was locked up I had to adjust and only go through images from the silly box. In case you do not understand the metaphor, silly box my father told the television, in his time they were boxes or cubes of wood or plastic that enclosed a cathode ray screen that did not look very good, not like now where they are growing up quality and finer although larger and with high definition LED screens.
This also brought me to memory when phones with screens that grew both in size and in a diversity of models and features began to go on sale, I remember when I bought the Samsung S2 it seemed huge and I was even about to return it for its exaggerated size thinking it would be awkward and ridiculous. Seeing today the dimensions of the phones that are used, what seems ridiculous to me is the size of that one, very small!
But let's go back to mediums. As I was saying, thanks or better because of the Covid-19 we can't go out and walk around, so in my spare time I started watching television and discovered that there is a pandemic of mediums on cable channels, for all tastes. It seems that now there are more people communicating with the dead than dead, which is a serious problem, it is like there are more smartphones than people. It is not a good example because in several countries there are indeed more smartphones than people, beware that I am not saying smart people, just ordinary people. I do not know where the trap is, maybe there are people who buy phones and then do not unsubscribe, which leads me to another discovery. It seems that those who do not want to be followed or just to avoid being heard, buy payphones, use them once, break them and throw them away. I do not think that these people denounce that they no longer use more and that is why the registration of the number of telephones per inhabitant increases without control.
Again I went through the limbs, the mediums, I'm talking about it. I have discovered that there are mediums for ordinary people but also for celebrities and celebrities which is not surprising because we all die from family and friends, what does surprise me is the number of people who want to communicate with those who have left us. I do not say all but probably many when their family and friends lived did not give them too much importance and it is sure that they did not even visit them regularly. But it seems that when they die they do need to communicate.
I told several programs where these people who act as intermediaries, communicate with the dead, and there is even at least one series where the story of a medium who helped solve some crimes that otherwise could not have been solved is told, or if but in that case there would be no series. The thing is that that series had 7 seasons, a complete box office success.
As I have been able to find out there is a very famous TV medium who has become a billionaire, quite an achievement of intermediation with the afterlife. I knew that intermediaries earn more than producers of goods and services and almost without risks, but I never thought that in this area too.
To end this, my discoveries have stunned me. I prefer the times when I walked more and watched a little TV, at least my revelations related to landscapes, people, customs, something more earthy, and I did not need intermediaries.
Por el año 1490 literalmente todo estaba por descubrirse. Si no me creen pregúntenle a Cristóbal Colón, bueno en el supuesto caso de que algún médium muy poderoso pudiera comunicarse con él y entrevistarlo.
Hablando de médiums, esta pandemia que asola al mundo ha despertado en mí la curiosidad por la televisión por cable a falta de otras formas más reconfortantes de pasar el tiempo. No es para sorprenderse, me gusta tanto el aire libre y el viajar recorriendo y conociendo que al encontrarme encerrado tuve que amoldarme y solo recorrer imágenes desde la caja boba. Por si no entienden la metáfora, caja boba le decía mi padre al televisor, en su tiempo eran cajas o cubos de madera o plástico que encerraban una pantalla de rayos catódicos que no se veía muy bien, no como ahora donde cada vez son de mayor calidad y más finos aunque más grandes y con pantallas de leds de altísima definición.
Esto también me trajo a la memoria cuando comenzaron a salir a la venta los teléfonos con pantallas que crecían tanto en tamaño como en diversidad de modelos y prestaciones, recuerdo cuando compré el Samsung S2 me parecía enorme y hasta estuve a punto de devolverlo por su exagerado tamaño pensando que sería incómodo y ridículo. Viendo hoy las dimensiones de los teléfonos que se utilizan lo que me parece ridículo es el tamaño de aquel, ¡muy pequeño!
Pero volvamos a los médiums. Como decía, gracias o mejor dicho por culpa del Covid-19 no podemos salir y pasear, entonces en los ratos libres me puse a mirar televisión y descubrí que hay una pandemia de médiums en los canales del cable, para todos los gustos. Parece que ahora hay más personas que se comunican con los muertos que muertos, lo cual es un grave problema, es como que hubiera más teléfonos inteligentes que personas. No es un buen ejemplo porque en varios países hay efectivamente, más teléfonos inteligentes que personas, cuidado que no digo personas inteligentes, solo personas comunes y corrientes. No sé dónde está la trampa, quizás hay gente que compra teléfonos y luego no los da de baja lo que me lleva a otro descubrimiento. Parece que los que no quieren ser seguidos o solo para evitar ser escuchados, compran teléfonos de pago, los utilizan una vez, los rompen y los tiran. Yo no creo que esas personas denuncien que ya no utilizan más y es por eso que el registro de cantidad de teléfonos por habitante aumenta sin control.
Otra vez me fui por las ramas, los médiums, estoy hablando de eso. He descubierto que hay médiums para la gente común pero también para los famosos y celebridades lo cual no es sorprendente porque a todos se nos mueren familiares y amigos, lo que si me sorprende es la cantidad de gente que quiere comunicarse con los que nos han dejado. No digo todos pero probablemente muchos cuando sus familiares y amigos vivían no les daban demasiada importancia y hasta es seguro que ni siquiera los visitaban con asiduidad. Pero parece que cuando se mueren sí que necesitan comunicarse.
Conté varios programas donde esta gente que hace de intermediarios, se comunican con los muertos, y hasta hay al menos una serie donde se cuenta la historia de una médium que ayudó a resolver algunos crímenes que de otra manera no habrían podido ser resueltos, o si pero en ese caso no habría serie. El asunto es que esa serie tuvo 7 temporadas, todo un éxito de taquilla.
Según he podido averiguar hay una médium muy famosa de la TV que se ha hecho multimillonaria, todo un logro de la intermediación con el más allá. Sabía que los intermediarios ganan más que los productores de bienes y servicios y casi sin riesgos pero jamás pensé que en este rubro también.
Para terminar con esto, mis descubrimientos me han dejado anonadado. Prefiero los tiempos en que paseaba más y miraba poca TV, al menos mis revelaciones se referían a paisajes, gente, costumbres, algo más terrenal, y no necesitaba intermediarios.

Interesante reflexión @hosgug. Los mediums han sido siempre figuras centrales en los medios de comunicación hasta convertirse en algunos países en verdaderas stars.
Pero por otro lado las lecturas del más allá y las predicciones vienen de muy lejos. Y si no preguntémosle a Nostradamus.
En nuestra versión argentina tuvimos durante muchos años los famosos curanderos. Esparramados a lo largo y a lo ancho de todo el pais.
Vi hace varios años la película que muestras en la portada. Si no me equivoco trabajaban Patricia Arquette y Miguel Sandoval (el actor que es la imagen viva de Pabvlo Escobar el narcotraficnte).

No sabía de una película con estos actores, si vi algunos capitulos de la serie que protagonizaron por 7 años, un éxito ya que pocas producciones en la actualidad tienen tanto tiempo de vigencia.
