Danger is the word that comes to mind when I hear dirt bike. I'm in awe of people who go for extreme sports. I really don't understand how some folks could stand the excitement that probably results to more pain than enjoyment.
Just last July I heard of a news of a young motorcross racing champ who died after an accident during his practice. He was only 17 years old. Another incident was earlier in May when a police chief succumbed to a head injury two weeks after he had an accident during a motorcycle training course. He was 47 years old.
Enthusiasts would probably say these are isolated incidents. Still, I'm not convinced that there's no danger in this type of sport.
