Today we witness 50 Bitcoin transactions from a wallet with Bitcoins mined in 2009. According to the calculations of people, all these coins were mined after 25-30 days from the genesis block.
There are a number of people supporting the idea that the transaction was executed by Satoshi's himself whereas there are people more than the other group claiming that it must be Nick Szabo or Mrs. Finney.
According to a twitter user examining the blocks found by Satoshi, this block was not one the ones mined by Satoshi. The block #3655 was mined by someone else. Here is the name of the user with the visual showing the blocks by Satoshi and the others.
The coins were sent to Coinbase and CoinPayments exchanges as you can see in the picture. However, 0.004 to Coinbase; 0.003 to CoinPayments from the whole transaction.
After all these actions, we witnessed about 400$ dump in Bitcoin. The question is: What was the reason?
- People are afraid of more transactions from elder blocks.
"More sells will eventually bring more speculations." - People don't want to know who Satoshi is.
- People were shocked and FUD resulted in sales.
- A possibility of a leader/owner does not match with the mindset of Bitcoin maximalists.
Actually, all of these possibilities may true for this situation. Personally, I love Bitcoin. It makes me feel independent.
As Bitcoin maximalists/holders/supporters, we don't actually need a leader. We need developers, users, miners but not leaders because what makes Bitcoin precious is its "decentralized" fundamental.
Now ask yourself that Do I want to learn who is Satoshi?
For me, A BIG NO.
Let it be mystic. Let it stay as a hero. We honor him with our sincere thanks from hearts. That's all. That's enough...
Bitcoin is still too young. It's a teenager. It's growing and becoming the light at the end of a dark tunnel. We should just secure it, develop it, and adapt it to our lives. A person can never represent its holy status. It will always be missing and dissatisfactory.
Today people reacted against any situation in which Bitcoin will be spoiled in any way. We see and call it the digital gold since thanks to its unsullied nature.
We are lucky as we have solid examples such as HIVE and Steemit. While we were using Steemit as a decentralized social media, a figure came up. Justin was a well-known person in the crypto ecosystem. Yet, we knew that he cannot represent us. He made mistakes, he tried to rule an ongoing system. In the end, he spoiled the harmony. Even destroyed it.
Let's examine our new homeland, HIVE has no specific figure/leader/representer. Sometimes Dan represents me; sometimes Thereawolf and sometimes Emrebeyler... Even, sometimes I represent all of them as a member of this family. That's what makes our chain idiosyncratic; unquestionably unique. Since we are the workers, at the same time, we ARE the protectors of our home.
As people try to find out Satoshi himself, we will suffer a lot. Newcomers will be deceived with fake news, shitcoins, and even brainwashed. Set Bitcoin alone. It can find its own way.
We don't need Satoshi. We did not need and will never need him.
Every special thing has distinctive features that make them special.
Try not to take these features out from them. No one desires to live in a plain world.
Great write up, I couldn't agree more. I have never wish for once for Satoshi to be revealed, remaining anonymous is better for Bitcoin and I will keep this; we owe it to ourselves to make Bitcoin and whatever blockchain we believe in like Hive great.
It's all in our hands, Satoshi have done his/her/their part.
