Over the last several days I have been posting about this historical city called Bidar.

I was touring this beautiful city that is situated on a hill. The soil there is red and the trees are all green all year round.

Bidar is just 119 kilometers from my city and I have visited it a few times in the past but never really took time to appreciate the beauty of this ancient city.

In this post, I will be sharing general information about Bidar city. I hope this post will be helpful to people who are planning to travel to South India.

If you are a history, archeology, and architecture enthusiast then Bidar is one city that will never fail to impress you.

The city has hundreds of tombs, ancient waterways, a beautifully maintained fort, mosques, temples, and a museum with an amazing collection dating back at least a thousand years.

I had the opportunity to see many of the places mentioned above but due to time constraints, I could not visit places that were far from the city.
