A few weeks ago for the BC Day long weekend (Aug4) we had organised to do some back country camping at Berg Lake in Mount Robson Provincial Park, BC. Campsites in this area a limited and they usually book out a year in advance, so we had planned this over a year ago. We originally booked a helicopter to fly in and then hike out over four days, but due to the pandemic the helicopters were't operating. But this wasn't going to make us cancel our trip, we had booked it over a year ago after all. Instead, we decided to hike up to Berg Lake. The hike was about 20km (12.5mi) one way with 800m elevation (~2600ft). BC also happened to be going through a heatwave that weekend, and to top it off an avalanche had gone through the night before our hike flooding some parts of the trail. The hike was challenging, both mentally and physically. But the sweat, pain, and multiple blisters were oh so worth it!
From Berg Lake we were treated to stunning views of lakes, glaciers, wildflowers and mountains, the most prominent being Mount Robson (pictured) standing at almost 4000m (~13000ft). We also swam in glacial streams, hiked from BC to Alberta and, while hiking Snowbird Pass, were treated to a wolverine sighting!!

It was the 3rd time we had hiked in and around Berg Lake and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
