One of the reason why China go against crypto is because of The wanted regulations in crypto activities.
A lot of people using crypto for illegal activities.
@onealfa.pob pob is growing and becoming a strong social media and if pob start use case there will be a lot of scam because there is no real identity verification so it will limit pob use case because any transaction is not attached to a real identity.

there will be a lot of scam because there is no real identity verification

this is one of the reason why the identity verification cannot be done. moreover i don't think there is anyone who is ready to go into that rigorous process of verifying the Identity of the user.

i don't really think the idea of identity verification is needed.

Not using real identity will limit a lot of things in pob community and reduce it's use case like peer to peer trading and using pob for exchange.
Every platform that will prosper must make use of real identity verification so people will feel secure to get involved in pob use case.

And verification of real identity will also limit a list of things and pob community.

peer to peer trading and using pob for exchange.

i dont think this can be achieved here. peer to peer is only used in forex trading. the idea of using it here, for me, i think it is not feasible at all

So do have any other means of increasing security in pob or avoiding scams in pob community(transactions and use case)

That should be a great one,if the community look in to that for the safety of we all in the community.

the only way to be safeguarded from the cyber thieves is to protect one password. i don't really thing the verification can work.

Not that.
Wants to exchange pob and after sending your pob you get scammed by an unknown but if there is identity verification, you will know who scammed you

That should be a great one,if the community look in to that for the safety of we all in the community.

Should pob start real identity verification?

i think this has been done when we wanted to open the account when everyone added their number and other details. this is a fantastic idea and i think it is fine. the use ID cards for verification may not really work out except if there is a serious work on how to do this.

Real identity verification would be useful in peer to peer interactions. A trust is built up within users with verification. Also you know that you are dealing with the real thing not someone pretending to be me.

But I would much rather leave verification up to the choice of the user. For some people verification can cause complicated legal issues with government or company policies. For example one company or government may consider a blockchain blog as an illegal activity. In some company contracts the employer is not allowed to engage in any money earning activities outside of the company. Verification would put those people in danger of losing their job.

The reason why crypto asked his value is because of it privacy and security
If there is identity verification for pob it will lose it prestige as a crypto

But i think that identity verification will help crypto blogging platforms ??

Posted via proofofbrain.io

In some company contracts the employer is not allowed to engage in any money earning activities outside of the company.

Is this true? Does It really exist somewhere?

What a stupid people, stupid world!

Posted via proofofbrain.io

There is nothing impossible in this world we are in.
They are different type of people

It is totally true and it's in my job contract. That's why I don't go showing off my face or exact location here. South Korea is lovely but the government is not far from communist.

i a company where i work before they do similar thing but it's not in the contract, but you are not allow to operate phone or make call in working hours.

I'm kind of afraid of saying too much online about our work. If we complain then the government could cut the whole program so it's a catch 22. On the other hand I am given a lot of creative freedom at work and I love it.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Wow that is great one you knw, as a citizen of a country need not to be treating bad,it should a free world and accommondable place of work.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Hmmmm your company is more or less big brother Naija(bbn).

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I know that some companies don't allow you to have another job aside the one you have.
But it's not very common.
I don't see how they can prevent you from earning money in other ways.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I don't see how they can prevent you from earning money in other ways.

How? By control of your every step, every move. Every online connection. Every word you say. Or write.
24/7 !
It's comin...

We are not even allowed to have a youtube channel for profit. It is written in the contract. No BS.

i dont think that is fair enough, despite the fact they are paying you, that doesn't mean they bought you

It's not fair. But it gets complicated in management. It started out with not working any part time job because for some people they had sponsored their visa and the visa is for one purpose... to work for them. But then some were making more from Youtube than the office of education. They were told to leave and the contract was reworded to directly include any activities for monetary gain including internet and youtube.

I think she is right there are lot of companies like that. They believe once they've given you the job they've bought all ones tome and one must not do anything outside the organisation assigned duties

Posted via proofofbrain.io

What would be the benefit of that? I kind of like the anonymity online.
I do think the different countries would like to see that so people can pay taxes over their earnings just like they do with the exchanges.
Just think of all the taxes that could get collected of all the people on here 😀

Posted via proofofbrain.io

"so people can pay taxes over their earnings just like they do with the exchanges."

i think this is the reason why the question of identity verification is being asked. the truth is that once this can be done we should definitely know that government are ready to support the idea of crypto. and one may end up paying a big tax.

take for example in Nigeria, the tax paid by oil and gas company in Nigeria is 90% due to the fact that they made a lot of money from the company. Nigeria might end up charging nothing lesser than 50% if they truly want to accept cryptocurrency which most people will not like to pay.

Well there is an advantage and disadvantage. I love the feeling of being anonymous even if my intentions are clear. But at the same time, criminals use this anonymous feature to scam and perform illegal activities. As much as a I love being anonymous, I think real identity verification will be good to reduce any future illegal activities. We all want what’s best for the pob community and if this is the solution to any illegal activity then pob can start real identity verification.

Another new day has come, and here we are,am still maintaining my rule which is pob staking, am adviceing everyone to do so.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Well for me i think the verification is a fantastic idea but the question i think we should ask ourselves is this case is if it is achievable.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

With POB been a social platform, employing the kyc feature may not be a bad idea has it gives the platform more originality as we get to know we are interacting with real humans and reduces the rate of fraudulent activities

Should pob start real identity verification

It's a good idea, but are we ready for it?

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Every standard platforms tend to mostly have the " Know your customer (KYC)" in place ,so identity verification will not be a bad idea..
