While we were camping, the children were introduced to this game where they could collect can tabs and trade them for items. They really latched on to this game and brought it home with them - suddenly can tabs (that we used to throw away or recycle) were now very valuable to them.... especially if they are different colors!
They came up with different prizes to redeem with can tabs, such as a piece of candy or a piece of paper with a random prize awarded on them.
Because daddy is "king of the household", and since I already gave away all of my can tabs, I was awarded a special gift for free: a piece of candy!
