I also really liked chess. I didn't progress as much as you; let's just say I was always a beginner. However, I've spread the word about the game. I taught all my children, including my oldest granddaughter.
When I was a teacher, I founded chess clubs and taught many kids. A very curious thing happened to me recently. A boy from my neighborhood told me that I had taught his father. It turns out his father lived in Mariara when I was a teacher.
Thanks for sharing, dear @janaveda . A big hug from Maracay.

Without a doubt, my friend. Luck or the protection of divine providence? Perhaps luck doesn't exist. On the other hand, don't think I've made much progress in chess. Of course, I've had my small achievements based on studying the texts of grandmasters. But nothing special.
It's great that you've been a chess teacher for your children, my eldest granddaughter, and a great catalyst for spreading the game of science. These are already great achievements, as evidenced by the son of one of your students.
Greetings, it's always a pleasure to read from you, @irvinc
Chess is a very nice game, even though you can't beat any computer anymore, haha.
Good evening, dear friend @janaveda .
