As expected, this drew widespread criticism. Photos have been shared showing the company’s own building with solar panels on the rooftop. They are also being criticized for a move deemed greedy and an attempt to monopolize the energy sector. Additionally, images of electrical poles with dangerous cracks and "spaghetti wires"—which are fire hazards—are being circulated. Public frustration has grown due to high rates and the practice of passing system losses on to customers, putting a burden on everyone.
