After selling some pelt to the Valentine butcher and visiting the doctor, I reunited with Abigail at the saloon. After a touching reunion and drinks, Abigail revealed she was on a bounty hunting mission. John agreed to join her, and we rode toward Strawberry to hunt a bank-robbing accountant.
The first thing I did was selling the animal skin to the butcher that I was carrying on my horsebacks for a long time, after getting to Valentine. It felt good to finally get it off the saddle and pocket some decent cash for the quality hide.
Then after hitching my horse in front of the saloon where I should have found Abigail, I went inside the doctor's store to buy some stuff. I stocked up on some medicine and tonics to ensure I was fully prepared for whatever trouble lay ahead.
When I was done with the doctor, I walked into the saloon and found Abigail was teaching some folks some manners in the center of the room. She was holding her own against some rowdy locals who clearly didn't know who they were messing with.
John calmed Abigail, and then they hugged each other, finding one another alive after so much time spent apart in the harsh wilderness. The relief on their faces was obvious as they held each other tightly, letting the saloon noise fade away.
Then they had a conversation over some drinks. What Abigail mentioned, how happy she was seeing John alive, as last time she saw John got shot, and she knew he was dead. It felt like a true miracle to her.
Then Abigail started talking all business and told John she was on a bounty hunting mission to make ends meet. And John decided to join her, pulling his hat down and draining his glass, ready to watch her back out on the trail.
So we are riding to Strawberry to find a man who is on the run from New York with a good price on his head. And he robbed a bank, being an accountant, using his knowledge of figures to slip away with a fortune.

It is pretty ironic that a notorious bank robber on the run is a former accountant. He probably used his knowledge of the ledger books to pull off an inside job before fleeing.

The conversation over drinks was the emotional part. Abigail truly believed John was dead after seeing him get shot but now they are reunited.
I enjoyed how quickly the scene shifted from emotional to practical once Abigail brought up bounty hunting. Their relationship always feels grounded because money is still a problem they need to solve together.
