Strong currents drag me towards an unknown destination, a swampy and jungle-like place, the mind plays a disqualifying role for my tranquility, covering my whole body with fear. I can be surrounded by large predators tasting my presence, I cannot control it, I unconsciously create inadequate situations in this adventure.
Fuertes corrientes me arrastran hacia un destino desconocido, un lugar pantanoso y selvático, la mente juega un papel descalificador para mi tranquilidad, cubriendo de miedo todo mi cuerpo. Puedo estar rodeado de grandes depredadores saboreando mi presencia, no lo puedo controlar, inconscientemente creo situaciones inadecuadas en esta aventura.
My boat is moving fast, I have no control, I have no rudder or oars, the strong winds made me leave them behind after a collision with a huge rock. I am bewildered, I feel the presence of anacondas and crocodiles lurking under the water.
Mi embarcación avanza rápidamente, no tengo control, no tengo timón ni remos, los fuertes vientos hicieron que los dejara atrás tras un choque con una inmensa roca. Estoy desconcertado, siento la presencia de anacondas y cocodrilos acechando bajo las aguas.
I am shipwrecked in despair, for the darkness comes inappropriately, and among the dense vegetation I can see slight gleams of eyes, perhaps they are wolves or some wild animal, I cannot stop the boat but much less must I get out of it, I would be an easy prey in a tunnel of wild beasts.
Naufrago ante la desesperación, pues la oscuridad llega inapropiadamente, y entre la densa vegetación se dejan ver leves brillos de ojos, tal vez sean lobos o algún animal salvaje, no puedo detener el bote pero mucho menos debo bajarme de él, sería una presa fácil en un túnel de bestias salvajes.
Long hours in the dark without being able to blink, it is like living an eternity without resting, the tension remained high, until the nightfall gave way to the clarity of the day, everything was transformed for the better, the waters calmed down and the dawn arrived, I could realize that the danger passed and that in a matter of a few moments everything would be under control, I would have wanted it to be only a dream, but in reality it was an expedition that had become a dark adventure in the waters of the Orinoco.
Largas horas a oscuras sin poder pestañar, es como vivir una eternidad sin descansar, la tensión se mantenía alta, hasta que el ocaso de la noche daba paso a la claridad del día, todo se transformó para bien, las aguas se calmaron y el amanecer llegó, pude darme cuenta que el peligro pasó y que en cuestión de pocos momentos estará todo bajo control, hubiese querido que fuese solo un sueño, pero en realidad fue una expedición que se había convertido en una tenebrosa aventura en las aguas del Orinoco.
