Hi Steemit Friends,
Today I want to introduce you to a famous crab restaurant at Dotonbori in Osaka called Kani Doraku (かに道楽). They are a number of stores around Japan and is famous for their iconic moving crab outside the restaurant. The only food they sell is crab so if you love crab, you have to come here to try. They have a stand outside selling BBQ crab legs but are limited daily but today, we are going inside to eat. The outside of the restaurant below.

Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of the menu but you can check it on their website as they change it regularly to match the seasons in Japan. Also they have special meal deals so do check the website.
But i did take the most important thing which is the food. We ordered a course meal that includes entree, different smaller dishes and dessert. Have a look at the chopstick stand, this also is a crab! There are various dishes like crab tempura with some vegetables, chawanmushi (Japanese steam egg) with crab, miso soup with crab, crab sushi and dessert (no crab there!). They also gave us a small plate of side dishes.
The set we ordered, I like the most was the crab sashimi, crab brains you mix with rice and most important the actual crab. The restaurant made it easy for customers so you don’t need to crack the shell, just need to scoop it out with your chopsticks. So fresh and sweet the meat.
Meals are not cheap eating at the restaurant but it is worth the price. The food was extremely delicious and all the crab was very fresh. I suggest you should try eating there at lunch as it is generally cheaper for lunch meals as dinner meals are bigger and more filling. Thank you for reading my first review on Tasteem. Nice review. I made my first review today as well. Hopefully we can grow together on this platform! I love crab, so this looks a great place to me. And I've never seen the crab legs presented like, split in two already where all you have to do is scoop out the meat. It's usually a war for me to get the meat out of the crab legs.
