The Third Jerry Banfield Show – The Body Can Fix Itself!

Would you like to learn about the power of suggestion and prayer because this can help your body to fix itself?

When you're focusing on something, you'll often get the opposite. You'll get it, but your subconscious mind doesn't understand negative or positive.

So if you think, "I don't want to drink. I don't want to drink. I don't want to drink," and then you're drunk. You're thinking about drinking all day. What your subconscious mind heard was "Drink, drink, drink, drink, drink."

It didn't hear the part about, "I don't want to."

For me like with getting sober, I think about, "I want to stay sober. I want to stay sober. I want to stay sober. I want to stay sober."

With health, it's not like, "I don't want to be sick. I don't want to be sick."

It's, "I want to stay healthy. I want to stay healthy. I want to stay healthy. I am healthy. I am healthy. I can see clearly. I can see clearly. I can see clearly. I can see clearly."

That means I don't get to tell anybody about anything. I don't even get to think that I have anything. When I was 20 something years old, maybe 22, a lot of us were conditioned to figure out, to try to find ways we're sick.

Like, you know, if you are a woman, feel your breasts, or for men, feel your testicles. Do you notice a lump? Go to your doctor. I found a lump on my testicles when I was 21, 22 years old.

I felt like, "I don't know what that is, but I'm definitely not going to the doctor for that." And it went away on its own. It completely disappeared. I'm so glad I didn't go to the doctor because they would probably have had me, "Oh my God, we need to cut this out."

I don't want anything being cut down there.

I used to have a lot of back pain and I used to have a lot of headaches. I thought of myself as a person who has back pain and headaches, and what made it really difficult to break out of that was, when I'm having a headache or back pain to just think I'm a person who's healthy.

Even though the reality might not indicate that I am healthy and I am free from back pain, I'm letting go of back pain. I'm giving up back pain is part of myself and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to naturally fix my back pain. I don't have back pain and it's very rare I get a headache now.

I'm so grateful for that because at one point, these were very routine parts of my life and I'm grateful I didn't go to the doctor and get them to give me pills for back pain because a lot of us get reinforced like, "Oh, I'm sick. And I got back pain."

You go to the doctor and they say, "Yep, you are sick and you have back pain."

So then you go home and reinforce it, "I'm taking these pills because I'm sick, because I have back pain."

It's that reinforcement cycle where if your original, if you just step out of it, like Dr. Joe Dispenza, he got in a car accident when he was 19 years old or something 20. He was in a triathlon and an SUV ran him over on his bike, ran past a police officer, ran him over, dragged him along with it, smashed his back apart.

They told him, "You have to have rods in your back or you're going to be paralyzed."

No one had ever said, 'no' to that surgery before, and he was a chiropractor and he learned all this stuff. He said, "No, I'm not having rods put in my back because that means a lifetime of back pain and being debilitated."

He went home and he focused, "This is what I want my back to look like."

He essentially prayed to God like, "God, I want my back to look like this. This is how I want this to look," and essentially disregarded the reality.

He said, "This is how I want my back to look. This, I want any picture."

He'd picture it for hours and as soon as he drifts off and get distracted and think, "God, my back hurts right now. I'm never going to be able to walk again," he'd start over.

He said, "This is how I want my back to look. I want this disc to function." Since he was a chiropractor, he learned a lot. He said, "I want this disc here to function. Now, this disc wants to lock in perfectly."

In nine weeks, he was able to walk back into his life. His back fixed itself from a horrible car accident in just nine weeks. I mean, smashed apart. If he tried to walk and stepped wrong, he was going to be paralyzed because his spinal cord had these bone shards in it that could be pushed in.

He fixed itself in nine weeks, and this is ordinary stuff, like everybody can do this.

Who wants to tell you you can do that?

When you know you can do that, your doctor's out of business, your health insurance companies are out of business, your pharmacy is out of business. Think of all the people who are out of business when you realize you can heal yourself.

Now your massage therapist might have a lot bigger business.

Does that give you a deep look into it?

It just seems kind of crazy at first because the objective reality doesn't match what you're saying inside like you're saying, "I'm healthy" when you're feeling sick. You're saying, "I'm sober" when you're still drunk or when you want to drink really bad, but it works.

The only reason it is like this now is because we've done that process, like my eyes, I've reinforced it tens of thousands of times that I don't have perfect vision, that I need glasses to see far. I've reinforced that tens of thousands of times over the last 20 years.

So it feels kind of crazy sometimes to just say, "I have perfect vision. I can see clearly now," it even feels like I'm lying sometimes like, "No, you can't, you can't read that sign."

I can see my hands in front of me. I can see you too clearly right here. I can see the road clearly enough to drive even at night, as long as it's not like an expressway where it's really fast, and even then maybe I could.

Then my mind will bring up things like, "What about in six months? You're going to go visit your mom. Will your eyes be still the same?

I can see clearly today. I can see the trees. I can see the clouds and just being grateful for what I can see instead of upset that I can't read the 12 steps of AA from across the room. Then being curious, like, "You know what? I wonder which day I'm going to walk in there all of a sudden, and I'm going to realize that I can read the steps."

I have to be open-minded, that every time I go in there, that's possible.

Lisa:

This helps me tremendously just getting my feelings out and hearing you, I feel like I can commence tomorrow and meet with John, and actually be honest with John and tell him my self-esteem is so low that I don't feel I deserve to look better or feel better. This has helped me a lot, thank you.

Jerry:

Well, my pleasure, Lisa.
