Buenas y mejores amigos de hive! Hoy vengo a presentarles un cover que hice a la super divertida canción de Serenata Guayanesa "El Sapo" y además a hablar un poquito sobre el uso de esta palabra en nuestra lengua, ya que, después de ensayarla un par de veces me surgió la duda sobre el origen de esta expresión que relaciona a nuestro anfibio amigo con los soplones o delatores. Así que lo primero que hice fue revisar un foro de preguntas donde alguien ya se había formulado la misma cuestión para mi conveniencia.

Today I come to share with you a cover I made to the super funny song "El sapo" (The frog) by Serenata Guayanesa and also to talk a little bit about the use of this word in our language, since, after playing it a couple of times I had a doubt about the origin of this expression that relates our amphibian friend with the snitches or informers. Allí, sugería el uso de "sapo" como una especie de analogía, ya que al corroborar con la RAE en el DRAE, la palabra ya estaba aceptada con la definición de soplón en algunos países de Sudamérica y los invito a verificar. Ahora bien, la supuesta y especulativa analogía consistía en comparar aspectos físicos del sapo al comportamiento de un delator o soplón, por ejemplo, la lengua mortífera y rápida, o el croar que invade cualquier silencio nocturno, los ojos saltones siempre atentos y muchas más cosas, acá la fuente.

Me pareció fascinante por un segundo como en el lenguaje vamos introduciendo con habilidad estas comparaciones hasta volverse plenamente naturales y pues si hay alguien que no es "madre sapo" es el que sabe de donde o cuando carrizo surgió esta expresión.

Excelente actuación con un montaje bien logrado para este tema emblemático de la música guayanesa. Esta es una publicación con bastante empeño y esfuerzo. Solo hay un detalle a corregir, con respecto al autor del tema. Este tema fue grabado por primera vez y popularizado por el grupo vocal Serenata Guayanesa, pero el autor es el maestro compositor guayanés Alejandro Vargas.
El resto es excelente! Este es uno de los temas que aunque es bastante popular, no se le ha difundido como se debe, por lo que esta publicación es un aporte a estos espacios para nuestra música. Y esta nueva propuesta tuya es una buena forma de darle difusión a este y muchos temas que se les puede hacer este trabajo. Muchas gracias por compartir este material!
