I am trying something new this spring. This is my first time attempting to grow spaghetti squash and butternut squash. I have also never attempted to grow anything from seeds that I gathered from a vegetable that I bought from the store.

I saved the seeds from an organic spaghetti squash that I purchased. I washed the seeds, dried them on a paper towel and then stored them in an airtight container.
I planted the seeds first in a a small plastic container because I frankly did not know if they would come up. Well to my surprise, they not only came up but they appear to be very healthy.
They are growing well and need more space so I decided to transplant the small plants into a makeshift container garden. I know that they really need to be in the ground, but I really don’t feel like digging up another patch of grass right now. so I decided to improvise and I am using a heavyweight cardboard box that is lined with landscape fabric.
I am also using potting soil to give them a head start to becoming healthy plants.

I have a lot of time on my hands, so I can try new things. If my vegetables matured and I am able to harvest them, I will have enough food to eat and to share.
Enjoy your day.

Oh how lovely! You know lots of people probably think we are only about cannabis, but we love all things that grow! Except tumors, lol Happy growing!
