A part of my younger years was spent in South Cotabato and Gensan, so learning Cebuano and Hiligaynon together felt like second nature.
Many people from North Cotabato can also speak both Hiligaynon and Cebuano too.
It came to a point na we mix both in a conversation. Or like one person speaks Hiligaynon, other speaks Cebuano and they just understand each other just fine.
