Hivers of the world, hello! 👋 Plenty of goings-on happened this week, from dyeing my hair (disappointed, argh) to meeting my best friend I haven't seen in two months to our work team lunch to reading a book and keeping tabs of the lessons I've learned this past week. Let's go break that down a bit, and you're in for a little treat as I bring you to places I've seen this week:
(Disclaimer: Too many photos, heads up! Haha)

The first time I was here was way back December 2017. Fast forward to February 2022 and I'm here for the second time! 😅 I don't really get to this part of IT Park because it's a little out of the way, I guess.
FINALLY A DATE WITH THE BESTIE AFTER ALMOST TWO MONTHS of not seeing each other!! 🙌 We talked about super detailed happenings of before-during-after Supertyphoon Rai incident in Cebu City. (IT WAS SCARY) 🥺 I was able to share mixed-up feelings and sentiments around that topic. It felt great seeing my best friend and listening to her was a breath of fresh air because I am used to being the one who's always talking lol. I love it when I get to be the listening ear.
I'm just relieved that everything was fine with Ayel-- their home was not damaged and her work was alright, too.
We both enjoyed our spicy ramyeon with cheese! The teokbokki and rice cakes tasted not that bad, I reckon. Korean foods will always be a good idea for us both haha. 🧡

After our dinner, we wanted to drink something cold and sweet. I suggested we have milk tea! (Of course lol) We both ordered large cheesecake with pearls. It was Ayel's first time to try this flavor, and I'm relieved that she liked it as much as I do.
I appreciate the interior of the store. It's a minimalist with Chinese new year accents, and definitely one that's #Instagrammable. They have a giant milktea design that you can take a photo of, just like what I did as you can see in the below pictures haha.

Law of Attraction at its finest: My friend kept in telling me about Chosun as I haven't tried eating there. Since last week, it was all in my head. Then came Tuesday this week and our manager told us we'll have our team lunch at Chosun Chicken! YAYYY🙌
To cut to the chase: Their chicken is G-R-E-A-T!! If you're a fan of the K-drama "chicken and beer" concept, then their chicken is definitely chicken-and-beer quality, no doubt! They have four different flavors of the chicken with unlimited samgyupsal as well! They have quite the bunch of side dishes so IT IS VALUE-FOR-MONEY unlimited resto place! 👏

I bought this book for only ₱10 from National Bookstore!!! Yasss! They were on sale and I was lucky to get this one. It's a book written in Tagalog by a Filipino celebrity and it all talked about some basics about dating in the Filipino culture. I had fun reading it and enjoyed because it's a very light read and there were practical tips as well.
Lesson learned from the book: In dating, the man should pursue the woman, that's why it's loosely called the "Chase". Bottom line: when a man really truly likes a woman, he will do whatever it takes to pursue her, court her and prove himself to her. This may sound outdated, but the facts, not to mention biological dynamics as well, never lie. (A woman can also ask the man out, but that's a whole different story! For another blog!)

LIFE UPDATE: I went to the salon last weekend and went home disappointed.
One key lesson learned is the "theory" of Expectation Versus Reality! This sounds clichéd, I know, but not until it makes sense to you can this actually make sense (am I even making sense here? Lol). It has been a LONG TIME dream of mine to have my hair dyed purple. I guess there has been lots of things that convinced me to "say no" because firstly having a purple hair "is not so becoming of a teacher" as what I've been told. I guess I just got stuck with this "idea" that I have to be this person since that's what the society expects of me. This is another lesson I am actually starting to truly realize and act upon now. The truth is that society's expectations of us should never hinder us from becoming our true selves.
Anyway, back to the purple hair scenario. I went to the salon with "high hopes" that I can have my much-awaited hue on my hair. BUT IT TURNED OUT not what I had expected. I wanted the pastel purple aka mermaid hair #goal but then they dyed it dark purple which is close to blue-black. What a crushing feeling it is when what you've expected is not what you get-- a lesson which can be applied not just to the hair case but to all of life in general.
These photos below were taken a few minutes after my salon visit. I wanted to have "justice" to this ₱2,200 hair situation so I took selfies even when there were people passing by and looking at me lol. I guess it's worth the embarrassment haha!

That's pretty much my week. HOW WAS YOURS? I hope you had a great week and I wish you'll have a fantastic weekend ahead! Kisses
‘Til the next post, hivers! Remember that you are loved beyond borders and beyond time & space. Okay? Okay. 💛❤️

I've never heard of a store that sells milk tea, that's great. It seems that you had a great reunion with your friend, eating and walking everywhere. This type of outing always feeds the soul and recharges us with positive energy. And about your hair, too bad it wasn't the color you expected but it turned out great anyway. Perhaps with a little discoloration the desired color will be reached, I don't know but it would be necessary to try it, you only live once 😅.
Thanks for posting on Daily Blog, I really appreciate it ❤️.
It's a very popular trend here in the Philippines--everywhere we look we find milk tea stores. 😁 I did!
