Note: This is a repurposed upload of the review I did for my YouTube bible review channel. I always want to make sure this gets uploaded to the blockchain, as well as YouTube. Blockchain content is VERY important going forward!!

Disclaimer: I more than likely called this the Majestic Illustrated Bible numerous times throughout the review. Apologies for that, as it's the Majestic Illuminated Bible.

I saw this bible on Tim Wildsmith's channel a few months ago and had to take a look at it. Funny enough, a local bookstore had a copy arrive recently, so I took advantage of the VERY affordable price point and decided to grab a copy.

Let me put a few things out of the way first....This will more than likely never become a daily reader for me. But that's not what I thought it would be either. This to me, is a keepsake. A historical version of the bible, created with today's technology that allows for this incredible artwork to be treasured for years to come.

Here's the details of the Majestic Illuminated Bible in the KJV:

  • Type done by 2K Denmark
  • 9.25 font type size
  • Over 100 illustrations from Reformation era artist Virgil Solis.
  • Single column, paragraph style layout
  • Massive margins
  • Topical verse finder
  • Full color maps
  • Ribbon marker
  • Dimensions: 9.5 x 6.5 x 1.25

It comes in two 'Leatherluxe' colors - Green (in review) and Brown plus a hard cover cloth edition.

I have read many versions through and through in my life and I only have four physical copies. Ten years ago, I decided to teach myself Hebrew, likely the slowest way to learn, but it also brings no presuppositions to go with it all. If you don't mind, I would like to try posting my Hebrew studies to The Kingdom. What do you think?

I would love to see them in there for sure.

It's on my bucket list for sure, to learn Hebrew and Greek. That would be awesome if you did add them to the Kingdom!

Thanks. I also have @hazon (the Hebrew word for 'vision') and @thePlan for my writing that are not related to language learning. I appreciate the really warm welcome Jon. Thanks again.

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing the posts!

wow! you have done a great work here sir!

I think the details about the layout and design make it even more appealing for readers.

I love how the text placing is in single column

it is nice to see that there are illustrations inside the Bible
