The idea is that they serve as tugboats, there would be a station where these tugboats would be, a ship would arrive, for example a Starsip, which has left the Earth, because to leave the Earth these engines are not useful, the tugboat would be hooked to the ship and would propel the ship by means of a plasma engine up to 500,000 km per hour, this is what those from the company have said and it would take the ship to Mars, probably at 500,000 km per hour. hour can lead to Mars
In less than a month, it would reach Mars perhaps in three weeks, that would be the function of these ships, they would be like space taxis without a taxi driver.
These plasma engines, although they talk about a fusion engine and such, are not useful for leaving the Earth, nor leaving the Moon, nor leaving Mars, they give you thrust in space therefore to leave the Earth or Mars or the Moon you would still need traditional engines and they can be hooked to a Starship to quickly take it to Mars or any other type of ship.
So that you have a reference, the engine that Russia announced on February 7 was announced by Rosaton, which is the agency in charge of these nuclear issues and also space engines, etc. of Russia, stating that they are developing an engine that can reach 100 km per second, which is 360,000 km per hour and that would allow us to reach Mars in about 30 days.

According to pulsar fusion what they want is to put in a fusion reactor, but if the fusion reactor is not available it could be another type of reactor.
If it were a fusion reactor, it could work with Helium 3, which is why the issue of Helium 3 is so important. It caught my attention that Isaacman cited it by the way. The plasma engine is a rocket engine that uses a very hot plasma within an electromagnetic field. What these engines do is use electrical energy to ionize a gas, normally hydrogen because it is very abundant, but they can be other types of gases and the electricity it uses to do that, ionizing the gas takes it out of the reactor. of fusion or should I remove it from the fusion reactor, of course the more powerful the reactor is, the more power that engine will have, the more capacity that engine will have to create plasma.

Hopefully some of these ideas make it to full production. Not just because it begins the use of more Space Tugs, but it will be good to be able to get places faster or go further afield.
