Coming Back to Steemit

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

It has been much too long since I have been on Steemit. I have just been so caught up with other things that I have not made the time to come in and contribute. Even now , I don't have much to say aside from the fact that I really miss writing. I've been perusing through my past articles and realized that I have a lot of interesting things to discuss and really miss the interaction and feedback I got from my writings. I blame no one but myself for going dark. There has been a lot of change going on in my personal life and with my career and I haven't put aside the time to really delve into a good Steemit story.

For me - writing is a lot like working out - when you do it often and on a regular basis - it seems to come naturally - but after taking a break and getting used to not writing .. it becomes harder for me to regain that momentum. That's why I'm writing this - its like the equivalent of doing 10 pushups - just enough to get the blood going - without dying from exhaustion. I would like to thank any of you that have followed me in the past - I have no pretenses that anyone has been waiting on the edge of their seat for a new release from me .. but for those of you who may have wondered what ever happened - I'm still here.

I started a new blog for my real estate webpage - most of it would be considered dry by most people's standards - but if your interested in real estate or buying/selling a home- it's an easy read. Many of the articles I posted were already posted here on Steemit - but I still have much more content to add if I ever get around to it. Today I came to the realization that I really love writing. Not sure why it took me this long to figure that out - after all I've been entering and winning writing contest since I was in high school. Through all of it - I never took it seriously though - and while those around me expected me to become an published author - I never wanted to become one because I enjoyed writing too much and didn't want to make a career out of it for fear that I might lose my joy for writing if it became an obligation. Looking back now - I have every opportunity to write just for fun - and am going to try to make a conscious effort to do so as much as possible.

On that note, I will end this - but I hope to be adding more content soon - I actually have a lot pics of the work we've been doing around here , but I haven't had the chance to upload it yet. I hope that many of the friends I made here are still around - I look forward to seeing how everyone is doing.

Stay Calm & Steem on

Good to see you back. I like your FSBO post from a couple months back.

Cool that you have a deal seekers meetup. A buddy and I do something similar with a monthly meetup at a coffee house in my area, 20 or so investors talking real estate and what not.

thanks - I just re-posted that on my real estate web site - that's awesome that you have a meetup group - I enjoy hanging out with other investors and talking about real estate - now I have friends that I can talk to about my favorite subject - you have a great collection of articles - I've read many of them - thanks for the great feedback - -I look forward to contributing more.
