Most of the dreams of ordinary people are to establish purpose in the most important aspects of their lives. However, no matter how simple “purpose“ may seem, there is always a sacrifice of the cost that’s required to make it come through.
In the modern and sophisticated world we find ourselves in, money and time is the cost we often pay to accomplish a purpose, and it’s been proven that almost everything we need to achieve always comes with a sacrifice, an opportunity cost, which we have to let go, to accomplish an aim.
We believe in the principle of causality. We feel that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, especially if we take the time to wade through that tunnel, hence, feel that purpose, is rewardable, provided we’re diligent by all means.
In this video, I talked about the difference in people’s purposes and how they might be uniquely enacted by money, or how some people’s purposes differ.
The video taps into the psychological aspect of people’s financial lives and the cost of the things they’d have to give, to get the things they want in life.

I like the feeling of having something deeper guiding our way to fulfill our purpose. Fulfilling it often requires making huge sacrifices in order to be rewarded handsomely in the future. I think money can be a good tool on helping us achieve some aspects of our purpose. In most cases, it's time that we use extensively for fulfilling our purpose. In the end, it all becomes worthwhile when we reach the light at the end of the tunnel.
You're right, sometimes we need the guidance of something deeper especially when it comes to establishing a purpose in life. When we feel like we're part of something, it helps us establish the courage to see-through our purposes in life. Rightly so, a lot of things in our lives requires money, and this is how life is. We are constantly giving something to get back something, so even purpose sometimes, requires the right sacrifice to be worth it.
Yes, indeed. It inspires and motivates on when things get hard. Also giving us the ability to understand different viewpoints such as a bigger or wider srandpoint.
Absolutely, it's a constant exchange between want we want/need and what we're willing to give to get it. I feel that with purpose, we're more willing to give things we hold dear in order to accomplish a greater good.
Exactly, you've said it all. The life we live is a life of sacrifice, we're always giving something for another, especially if we think it's worth it.
Purposeful life for each can mean various things, for some it could mainly be centered around money while for some it is the simplest of things without ruling out the need for money.
Either way, we can't rule out money whether our purposeful life is money centered or not.
True indeed. For some it could be centered around money, and for some others, not so much. Irrespective, nowadays money can virtually fund the simplest of things and the narratives are changing
We all have our purposes in life and I do agree that being happy helps in our growth a lot. Apart from happiness, peace is one thing I am working on. Inner peace, outer peace, and every peace there is what I crave.
We all have things we want and the result is what makes all we have done seen by people who see us and say;
He/She had a tough life but they made it.
This makes us look into the mirror with a proud face.
Inner and outer peace....hmmm that speaks volumes, but to be very honest. Attaining this must be somehow centered on some financial accomplishments in life. Simply put, financial adequacy can help us accomplish a lot of things in life. Thanks for thoroughly watching
Hehe. Yes, it does.
I do agree with that. Having financial accomplishment and others will help one attain this.
Thanks for sharing.
Well, I also believe that the major sacrifice we do to achieve a purpose is by putting effort in everything that we do
We should not waste time and add effort...
True, that's undisputable.
Many people tie what they do for work, and therefore the money they earn, into their identity. For a select few that might be OK, but I’m sure a significant amount of people treat their jobs just like a job. It’s not necessarily the career that they would like.
Many jobs aren't necessarily the career paths that aome people want, you're right and this might contradict some of the lifelong goals and purposes they've set for themselves. It's always saddening..
It's tough because money is required in our daily lives but I do agree that there is more to life than money. It depends on what people can do but at some point, you will have enough money. However, you can't really have enough time or happiness.
