Stretched along the Sea of Japan is the only sand dune in whole of Japan. Formed over the course of thousands of years, with sand buildup by strong winds over the nearby rivers, the Tottori Sand Dune offers 50 metres tall sand hills and picturesque sand pattern.
Activities like camel riding and ATV are also available in the area. Located in the Tottori prefecture, the sand dune is far away from neon lights, high buildings, and bullet trains. Access to it are usually by cars or coach.
