Random Japan Photos #9 - Statues

A bronze sculpture of a crane(?). Came across this beauty somewhere in Hakodate, near the famous Yunokawa Onsen area. The sculpture was right in the middle of a road cross junction, possibly directing traffic and alerting motorists.

Mother and son statue. There are many similar statues along this area. Can you recognise where it this?

Statue of a buddha at the top of Zao Onsen where it is under constant chilly winds and heavy snowfall. You can make some donations and pray for safety.

Sort:

So, the meaning of “奉纳” = Donate :D

I love the crane directing traffic! haha

Interesting statue even asks for a donation. Wonder how much he already collected? 😆

Nice sculptures and statues, the 3rd one even has skis under it, looking like it skis around to get donations. ;)
