A satisfied and happy spirit is like health for the body and strength for the soul. Gratitude, joy, benevolence, trust in love and in God's care are other incomparable safeguards of health.
It should show the power of the will and the importance of self-control, both in conservation and in the recovery of health. We must consider whether we want in our heart, anger, selfishness, depression, impurities or otherwise the wonderful life-giving power found in joy, self-denial, gratitude and love.
There is in the writing a physiological truth that we need to consider. The cheerful heart is a good remedy; But a broken spirit dries the bones. The true principles of the gospel open a source of inestimable happiness among all of us. We should cultivate a happy, optimistic and peaceful mood; because our health depends on it. Therefore, do not trust your emotions, but give entrance to Jesus in your heart so that you can feel all the joy and joy that he felt knowing that you would dedicate your life to him and that he would protect you and save you from all the bad things that could come against you who pretend to embitter your existence and prevent you from fulfilling God's purpose with the joy that he can only give. Do not be fooled, do not be bitter, rejoice!
