Lockdown is almost here!

I don't know how it all is on your side of the planet but I would say code red/black/disaster is about to get here faster in Holland than any government is anticipating. The battle between public safety and trying to reduce the losses is leaning more to the money side, but that is a whole different discussion. Lockdown I say! Batteling the beasts! That is the current status. But enough about that.

As I have mentioned before I would in healthcare so again I expect my life to become incredibly busy over the upcoming weeks, leaving not too much room for social. Better said: a total lack of, especially since all social activities have been cancelled. No more skiing as planned, no more partying as planned, it is time to switch to a survival mode. Most people will be spending these survival times from their home. I am preparing mentally and physically on spending these from the place where you don't want to be hovering around. Corona city AKA the hospital.

What I normally would be doing in times before working up into a period where I have to work a lot, is being social. Seeing friends, doing stuff together, and talk a lot about all stuff that doesn't involve the fact that we take care of the sick and dying people. But cross out all social events, so it is time to look for hobbies around the house!

And there it seemed there was a DJset in the house all of a sudden, making tunes, and creating my own set of 'Awakenings', because I don't expect the festivals to be going through over the next couple of weeks. DJ Karin right at ya, tagteaming with the mister!

Also I am a big believer in the power of fresh air making your fitter and more resilient for the battle in the body. So any possibility there still is to bike around the city before Italian and Chinese style lockdown really go down to place (I have experienced a lockdown after a hurricane once, that wasn't pretty) I am more than willing to take! Our region Brabant (the South of Holland, or where the biggest Corona infection region currently is) has also experienced more than enough rain over the last month. Where normally a bike path is just meandering through the fields, all of a sudden this bike path looks more like a path crossing a lake. A beautiful sight actually, I guess the farmers won't be too happy though!

Books, puzzles, more temptation island and everything else is being looked into just to pass the time when this all calms down, and honestly...I expect I will be needing my sleep more than anything over the upcoming weeks. ..Let's see what happens.

Stay safe yall!
