Introduction to this weeks page

Finally! we have returned to the protagonists and his strange fellowship of friends. While both the MI6 commando, CIA, the Celtic Gods and the strange partnership between Eileen and Judith have until now been unsuccessful in finding the refugees, we get to know where they are. In an old cave adorned with ancient spiral patterns from the neolithic period that are found in the British Isles and on the continent.

One of the most famous places is Newgrange in Ireland. Below is a couple of old photos of the cave entrance, the first one from the late nineteenth century and the second from our days. The incredibly beautiful entrance stone is reason enough that I want to go to Ireland.

This week's episode also contains some mild sexual hints... (you do not get to see anything saucy). A funny aspect of some people's way of going around sexual domination is that it is the one that wants to be dominated who also wants to decide everything that is going to happen, and how it is to be executed, and...

Not entirely the same, but definitely connected is the aspect covered in this page from the rather wildly erotic webcomic Oglaf:

Happy reading.

I love the texture your pages have and the different ink marks you use to create depth and shading. Do you have any artists that you are inspired by?

For this project I was inspired by Robert Crumb, Gilbert Shelton and a Danish underground artist called Claus Deleuran. But it was as much about the anarchistic approach to style and storytelling, as it was to drawing. The fact that I use greytones on some pages and just cross hatching on others for example, and that I try to draw the characters in new ways every time.

I do have a lot of artists that has inspired me, but I think that Jean Giraud/Moebius is one of the artists from whom I have learned most when it comes to hatching and textures. I am mainly inspired by the European tradition, but I did a small series here on Steemit about my American inspirations:

Good to see Phill again at last. I guess he doesn't mind being trapped in a dark room for days, but the internet is probably rubbish down there

I think he got his hands more than full, but poor Morty, Vincent and Loretta must have had a hard time...

great work - I could not help myself when I seen the cave entrance and then read "This week's episode also contains some mild sexual hints..." I immediately thought of Sheela na gig .... but no, that one isn't even remotely "mild", even though the carving is found on a church!

No sadly nothing as frivolously fun, but I do have a similar figurine if you look at the lower panel on page 52.

got it, lol - they key to Sheila's cave!

I enjoy it, thank @katharsisdrill. the imagination of the cave fly my mind everywhere :D, especially in the last expedition I had, I found something weird

I love your works so much, @katharsisdrill <3 The inking is just so delicious * ___ * and the way you establish scenes and flow <3

AMAZING <3

Thanks, that is nice of you to say.

Great work @katharsisdrill!
